Ashton Jeanty Sends Clear Message on Geno Smith Amid Raiders Rumors: Exclusive - suong

With the 2025 NFL Draft merely a week away, former Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty continues to be linked to the Las Vegas Raiders. He's frequently projected to join the team in many mock drafts.

Recently, he joined the SAXX Gamechangers group alongside Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby. Those two are now among the faces of the fast-rising underwear brand.

He's gotten to know Crosby well through their collaboration with SAXX, but he's not the only Raider he's had a chance to meet. If Jeanty goes to Las Vegas, he's going to be working closely with quarterback Geno Smith.

He hadn't known the quarterback previously, but he had a chance to meet him recently and thinks very highly of Smith's ability.

"I didn't really get to chop it up with (Smith), but I met for the first time in person on my visit," Jeanty told Athlon Sports. "Obviously, getting a chance later in his career has been working well for him. I like what he did with the Seahawks. Obviously, he's rocking with Pete Carroll. I think he's a great player. If I were to play with him, he'd be a great quarterback to have."

The Raiders have met with Jeanty a number of times, and John Spytek was the only NFL general manager to show up to his Boise State Pro Day. Las Vegas holds the No. 6 pick in the draft, and they continue to be the most likely team to select him.

If the Raiders decide to go in a different direction, it's hard to imagine he'll be on the board for long.
