Lisa Rinna reportedly got the attention of Andy Cohen and Bravo TV when she made legal threats against her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Lisa Vanderpump.
After going on an Instagram rant about the news of Lisa V.’s potential new spinoff, which is said to be based out of her animal rescue center Vanderpump Dogs, Lisa R. has allegedly raised a “huge red flag” for her employer.
“Lisa Rinna is known for stirring the pot on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but it looks like it may backfire,” an insider told Life & Style on March 12. “Andy Cohen and Bravo executives are upset with accusations, threats and demands for money. She’s gone too far.”
Following news of Lisa V.’s Vanderpump Dogs project, Lisa R. told her fans and followers that she and the rest of the RHOBH cast should be paid for their roles in “playing out” the Puppy Gate scandal that has seemingly served as a launching pad for the new series.
“Yeah, I’m a hustler. I get paid for what I do. So if this indeed becomes another show my lawyer will be calling,” Lisa R. wrote.
Although Lisa R. ultimately retracted her legal threats, she didn’t do so before she captured Bravo TV’s attention and according to the source, the network isn’t at all happy with the comments she made.
“Lisa went off on a rant about wanting to be paid to help launch future spinoff series for Lisa Vanderpump was ridiculous. She even said her lawyers would be contacting Bravo,” the insider explained. “It was over the top and not something anyone should say, threatening legal action is a huge red flag for her employer.”
It’s not clear at this point on exactly how Bravo plans to handle Lisa R’s threat or if it will affect her future on the show.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season nine airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
