Zara McDermott and Louis Tomlinson showed a 'lack of synchronicity' and signs of 'awkwardness and boredom' when they shared a kiss on their getaway to sun-soaked Costa Rica.
The Love Island star, 28, who was reportedly flown out first class by the One Direction star, 33, was spotted locking lips with her new man at the modest Banana Beach Restaurant which overlooks the ocean.
Zara has been inseparable from Louis since their relationship was made public in March, three months after MailOnline revealed she and ex-boyfriend Sam Thompson, 32, had called it quits.
Now body language expert Judi James has told MailOnline that while things may appear to be going well, their romantic moment 'didn't quite take off'.
She said: 'There's a lack of synchronicity about the body language here. Either Louis is studying his phone while Zara looks distracted and slightly bored or they seem to attempt to create a more intimate, romantic and even sexual moment that doesn't quite take off.

Zara McDermott and her new love Louis Tomlinson showed a 'lack of synchronicity' and signs of 'boredom awkwardness' when they shared a kiss on their romantic getaway in Costa Rica on Sunday

'This couple should be in the stage of their relationship where mutually undivided attention is the norm, as well as some mirroring and postural echo, but there are none of these qualities showing in these pics.
'While Louis speaks Zara seems to be drinking from her water bottle, which on Love Island tended to be an act of distraction as well as a barrier ritual.
She added of the snaps of them kissing: 'She seems to sit higher than him and at one point places an arm around his shoulders in what looks like an act of protection rather than a flirty, sexual gesture.
'As relationship signals go these two would give the impression of being in the very early days, where some awkwardness is the norm.'
During the date night Zara showed off her bronzed physique in a white co-ord.
The look featured a crop top and skirt which flashed a glimpse of a trim midriff and she completed the summery ensemble with statement gold earrings.
Meanwhile Louis, who is reportedly recording his new album on the island, opted for a causal yellow T-shirt as he sat close to Zara while the couple lovingly gazing through their holiday snaps.
The pair shared a giggle as they chatted intently while soaking up the tropical sunshine.
Earlier in the week, the couple were swamped by his fans in Costa Rica, an encounter which was caught on camera, as he was asked for selfies.

Now body language expert Judi James has exclusively told MailOnline that while things may appear to be going well their romantic moment 'didn't quite take off'

One fan then asked Zara if she wanted to be in the picture with her and the Makes You Beautiful singer.
Dressed casually in shorts, an oversized shirt and a baseball cap, Zara responded: 'You guys get a picture. Don't worry about me, just get one with him.'
Since being with her new boyfriend Louis, Zara has also seemingly grown close to his son - Freddie, nine - who he shares with ex Briana Jungwirth.
Louis' sister Lottie, 26, revealed the family welcomed Zara into the fold while speaking about the relationship for the first time.
She told OK! Magazine: 'Yeah, she is amazing and they are really happy. I'm really happy for him.'
Lottie, who shares son Lucky, two, and daughter Flossie, five months, with her fiancé Lewis Burton, also hinted Zara might soon by on babysitting duty.
Asked if the couple would be helping out she joked: 'Hopefully, yeah.'
As well as Lottie, Louis is also an older brother to twins Phoebe and Daisy, 21. His other sister Félicité tragically passed away at just 18 in 2019 after an accidental drug overdose.
Last week Zara shared stunning snaps of the Costa Rican sunset amid her trip with Louis just days after they went Instagram official.

A source told The Sun: 'Louis and Zara are going from strength to strength. He got his team to organise her first-class travel from London to Costa Rica over the weekend.
'It meant Zara was unable to attend the TV Baftas but she is keen to spend as much time with Louis as possible. He's been out in Costa Rica for a few weeks recording his album and is keen to show her the sights.'
MailOnline contacted a representative for Louis and Zara for comment at the time.
On Monday Zara posted snaps of herself to Instagram as she cuddled her friend's daughter as fans said she was a 'natural' and 'suited' motherhood.
Although she didn't confirm who the little girl was, it's thought that she is her friend's daughter, as Zara previously confirmed in an interview with Hello! back in 2022 that her 'best friend was pregnant' at the time.
Zara is believed to have met Louis through his sisters, according to his die-hard fans who questioned the link between Zara and the One Direction hunk's siblings.
At the time, fans claimed that as well as himself, Louis's sisters, including make-up artists Lottie, and twins Daisy and Phoebe, followed Zara too.
Another theory is that the girls could be working on an undisclosed documentary with the Love Island star, which is a way Zara could have been been introduced to Louis.
And there appears to be no bad blood on Sam's behalf as he told MailOnline he 'felt fine' about their meeting.
He also told The Mirror he's heard Louis is 'a really nice bloke.'
He said: 'I've never met Louis, but the moment I see him, I'll be like, 'mate, how amazing is this what we're doing, and hopefully we can make as much money as possible'.
'And I imagine - from what I hear is a really lovely bloke - I imagine the reply will be exactly the same.
'It's a charity football game and everyone will have a smile on their face... everybody is doing it for a cause that is far beyond relationships and who's hooking up with who and all that kind of stuff. Football brings everyone together.'
Clarifying his stance on meeting Louis, he told MailOnline: 'I feel absolutely fine.
'It's going to be a beautiful, special day and we are both playing together for such a great cause, and all of us taking part in this are in it for the same reason.
'It's such an amazing day and such a special charity - there's going to be smiles all around, I can promise you that.
'The charity is the most important thing, our fun is secondary to that. And when you see the big donations on the screen, that is the coolest thing in the world, and that's the best thing about it. I can't wait.'
Former Made In Chelsea star Sam recently revealed that he has a new love interest.
Zara split from Sam back in December and he has since found a new partner in Love Island star Samie Elishi.
Samie broke her silence on her new romance with Sam, after the couple attended Olivia Attwood's swanky birthday party held at Bacchanalia in London's Mayfair, where they confirmed the romance by packing on the PDA outside the venue.
Samie spoke about the blossoming relationship for the first time during an appearance on the podcast Chloe Mediumship.
The show is hosted by a psychic medium and in the episode, Samie revealed how she's previously had negative gut feelings in past relationships.
She explained: 'I've had gut feelings with guys before. I've had a couple of relationships where I've known it was never it. Like this is gonna come to an end, I'll have something telling me every day it's coming to an end, this isn't for you.
'You put it to the back of your mind and then you start noticing the chaos increase. It's like the universe saying I'm gonna blow you both up if you just do not separate. Then I'm like if I only I listened all those months ago when I got that first message.'
Then, host Chloe asked: 'Obviously, you don't have to talk about it too much but the guy you're currently speaking to, do you have that gut feeling? Like do you think it's gonna be really good?'.
Keeping her cards close to her chest, the former Love Islander replied: 'There's been no bad stuff at the minute so yeah I suppose it is all positive right now. It's early days.'

It comes after her former Made In Chelsea star ex-boyfriend Sam recently revealed that he has a new love interest (pictured in 2019 with Zara)

Sam first met Samie Elishi, who appeared on Love Island in 2023 and returned to the All Stars series this year, through his presenting role on spinoff, Aftersun

But following his breakup from Zara, the pair started exchanging flirty messages over Instagram before hitting it off in person.
A source told MailOnline: 'Sam and Samie are really getting along and if early signs are anything to go by, this could turn into a long-term relationship. It may be early days still, but they do really like each other.
'Sam is already introducing Samie to Chelsea by showing her off on the King's Road over the Easter weekend and given how popular he is in the area, it meant a lot that he wasn't hiding her away.'
On his Staying Relevant podcast with Pete Wicks, Sam also revealed he's gone on his first date since his split from Zara, after he reportedly spent a romantic Easter weekend with Samie.
Hinting towards his heartbreak over Zara, he said he'd gone through a 'pretty tough time', but that he was finally 'comfortable in my own skin again'.
