Zach Shallcross, Kaity Biggar Canceled Wedding Plans

Bachelor Zach Shallcross and fiance Kaity Biggar have been engaged since his time on the show. It seems they keep pushing wedding plans back farther and farther. Now, on a recent podcast, Zach admits that he and Kaity actually canceled their wedding plans that were in progress. What did he say about it all? Are they still getting married? Bachelor Zach Shallcross Reveals Backing Out Of Wedding Plans

Fans have been eager to see Bachelor Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar tie the knot. They got engaged on the finale of his season. After getting engaged they both continued living in Austin, Texas. She is a nurse at the local hospital there.

The couple didn’t live together at first but when their leases were up they did get a place together. At that point, they shared they were holding off on wedding planning. They continued to tell fans they were moving closer to a wedding date but were in no rush. They knew they wanted to spend their lives together so they didn’t mind waiting to actually get married.

Now, in a recent interview on the Almost Famous podcast, Zach revealed that he and Kaity actually backed out of a wedding planning contract.

The couple actually had a wedding planner who also happened to be a good friend. They sat down with her and started talking about what they liked and didn’t like trying to get a plan in place. He said, “Credit to our wedding planner, she took it and started to run with it and started just booking us at all these places. And we’re like, ‘Oh, wow, this is happening really quick.’”

Zach went on to say that the planner told them to get the ideal venue they wanted they would be going way over their budget. So, Kaity and Zach made the decision to pull the plug on the wedding. They backed out of the wedding because they wanted to save for a down payment on a house rather than just have that money go to a one day event.

Zach went on to say,

“We pondered on it for a week and we’re like, ‘[It] does not feel good to just go so into this venue when we’ve already established what our priorities are,’ which is buying a house and not a down payment for one day. So we backed out of the contract. Not saying we’re done with wedding planning. We’ve actually gone further in other areas, but we just couldn’t do that. I don’t know, like it’s so crazy nowadays.”

He Did Reveal Their Big Plan

Zach Shallcross did share with Ben Higgins that he and Kaity Biggar are planning to elope very soon. He said, “We’re planning to get eloped very soon, like very soon.”

He continued on to say that after they are officially and legally married they will start planning the big celebration. They want to be able to have their friends and family celebrate with them at some point.
