While The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives‘s Zac Affleck learned he is not related to Ben Affleck, he is related to Lala Kent from Vanderpump Rules.
During an episode of Scheana Shay‘s Scheananigans podcast, the Bravo TV star announced what was learned about Lala’s family tree after the claim that Zac Affleck was related to Ben Affleck went viral.
Plot twist:
Scheana explained to TSLOMW‘s Demi Engemann, that her VPR bestie, ‘Lala’ is actually Lauren from Utah. “Lala is from Salt Lake.”
“Everyone was going and doing the genealogy stuff with Zac – who is married to MomTok’s Jennifer Affleck – to see if he was related to Ben Affleck.”
“I sent it to Lala and both of our moms in a group chat. Lala’s like, ‘I want no part of this.'”
People dug into Jennifer Affleck’s family tree. “Zac Affleck is her husband. [His father] is David Affleck. Zac’s grandfather is Gordon Affleck. Zac’s great-grandparents — which would [establish] second cousins — his name is Alan Burt Affleck.”
“Then, Ben’s dad is Tim Affleck. His grandfather is Myron Junior. His great-grandparent is Myron Senior. No, Alan Burt and Myron Senior aren’t brothers or anything.”
Digging deeper into the Afflecks’ heritage, Zac’s family has ties back to England, while Ben Affleck’s relatives date back to Scotland.
Before Zac’s family lineage was ever questioned, Jennifer revealed that she and Zac have “never met” his cousin/Good Will Hunting actor. “Zac’s dad [met them], when [Ben] was very little,” she added. “I’m hoping to meet him one day, too!” Hopefully Jen wasn’t holding her breath.
