New year, new business venture for Vicki Gunvalson.
On Thursday, January 2, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum announced she was renting out one of her properties in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Vicki promoted the listing via Instagram, where she posted over a dozen photos of its gorgeous amenities and features.
“My new condo in Puerta Vallarta is officially available to rent!” she captioned the carousel. “It is a stunning 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo with amazing views overlooking Banderas Bay.”
Fans got their first look at the condo back in October, shortly after Vicki closed on the property; however, the cozy space looked a lot different back then. The former OC ’Wife had shared a video of its completely bare living room and kitchen area as workers began to install several appliances.

As seen in Vicki’s recent Instagram post, the rental unit received a significant glow-up over the past couple of months. The living room featured a moss-green accent wall that perfectly matched the green-and-cream patterned area rug. There was also a wooden round coffee table, several indoor plants, and oatmeal-colored sofas with vibrant decorative pillows and a throw blanket.
Natural materials dominated the kitchen/dining area. A small wooden dining table separated the living room from the cooking space, which featured sleek wooden cabinetry, green decorative pieces, brown bar stools, and wicker pendant lights that hovered above the white stone island.
For the primary bedroom, Vicki upgraded the space with deep green wall paint and rustic wooden furniture, including a TV console, a bed frame/headboard, and modular nightstands. She kept the area vibrant and fun with a palm tree-patterned comforter and a multi-colored area rug. The second bedroom had the same tropical vibes but included two twin beds and wooden standalone shelves that flanked the mounted TV.
But the most impressive part of Vicki’s condo was, without a doubt, the incredible views. The final few slides showcased the condo’s balcony, which was decorated with greenery, wooden patio seats, and a matching coffee table. It was a great space for visitors to relax outside while enjoying the breathtaking scenery from the 22nd floor.

Vicki began visiting Puerto Vallarta about 30 years ago and now considers it her “home away from home.” After purchasing several Mexican properties, including her primary vacation home, Vicki decided to open a bar in the popular tourist town. She spoke about the business in the July 29 episode of her My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, saying her longtime boyfriend, Michael Smith, was helping her secure a bar location.
“I don’t really want to own a restaurant, but I want to own my Whoop-It-Up bar because I think it’s going to be so much fun,” she said. “We need it in Puerto Vallarta.”
