Awhina and Adrian revealed their relationship had come to an end during an emotional Married At First Sight Reunion.
Following their turbulent journey, Awhina revealed they are no longer on speaking terms.
Now, in their first posts since leaving the experiment, Adrian had one final message for his ex-wife as the pair looked forward to "closing this chapter" of their lives for good.
Taking to Instagram, Adrian admitted MAFS was "a life changing experience".
He also shared his regrets for some of his behaviour during the experiment.
"Looking back, I know I wasn't always the best partner, and there are moments I wish I could do over," he wrote in a poignant reflection.
During the Reunion, Adrian apologised to Awhina for making her feel less than after confronting footage of their journey played out.
"But through the highs and lows, I've learned so much about myself, who I am, what I need to work on, and what I want to become," he continued in the post.
Adrian said the experience "challenged" him.
"One of the biggest blessings is knowing I can now show up better for myself, and for whoever I share my future with," he went on.
"I'll carry these lessons with me and use them to become a better man and a better partner."
He also had a message for ex-wife Awhina.
"Awhina, thank you. I genuinely wish you a future filled with abundance of love, happiness, and good health," he wrote.
"We may not have found forever, but I walked away with something just as valuable, lifelong mates and a chapter I can close off in my book of life and now open my next."
One of those lifelong friends appears to be fellow groom Eliot Donovan after Adrian shared a snap of the two having dinner post-Reunion.
"Just couple of green flags hanging out 🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸," he captioned it.
As for Awhina? The bride left the experiment with her head held high.
"I forgive myself for settling for less than I deserve, but that chapter is closed," she said of her relationship with Adrian.
While she may not have found love with her husband, she too walked away with a special bond.
The bride shared a care-free video of herself dancing on the street with co-stars Beth Kelly and Jamie Marinos.
"I went on MAFS searching for love and I found it," she captioned the clip.
"Healing out loud."
