There, host Andy Cohen asked The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 friend and John, who got engaged at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara on their nine-month anniversary, if they had discussed signing a prenup.

"We talked about it," Alexis responded. Then, from the audience, John said, "I don't want one. No, no."

"And will you take his last name?" Andy followed up with Alexis.

"Yes, 100 percent," she answered immediately, before sharing her new initials. "AJ all the way."

When the mom of three made her return to RHOC on Season 18 (after previously appearing as a full-time 'wife on Seasons 5 through 8), she repeatedly referred to her boyfriend as "Johnny J."

The nickname was a new one for John, who admitted on WWHL that he actually doesn't like it.

"Which name do you prefer?" Andy asked him.

"John Janssen," he said, because he's "not a rapper."

Alexis, however, said that she's aware her pet name for her fiancé isn't his favorite. "He likes John, and he likes Johnny, but yeah..." she agreed.

When Andy referred to John as Johnny J on WWHL, Alexis joked, "He's gonna break off the engagement if you don't stop calling him that."

When did John Janssen propose to Alexis Bellino?

John popped the question to Alexis on August 28 when the two took a romantic trip to San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara.

"On Cloud 9, celebrating 9 months of love and laughter, and looking forward to my forever with you," Alexis wrote on Instagram when she announced the engagement news. "Every moment together has been a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we’re building together. And the answer is 100000000% yes."

She also quoted a Bible verse in her caption, which read, "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

The couple initially began dating in late November 2023, though they waited until December to publicly confirm their relationship status.
