Why Sutton Stracke Says Going 'to Battle' with Her RHOBH Costars Is Her 'Favorite Part' of the Show

Sutton Stracke is a peaceful spirit but when it comes time for filming, she isn't afraid to don her battle gear.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE at the Tempted by Love premiere on Aug. 8, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 52, gave a little insight into what it's like filming confrontational scenes with her fellow Housewives on the Bravo show.

"We get our arsenal together and we go to battles sometimes, and that's been the hardest part for me because I don't like to go to battle with people," she said of RHOBH's legendary fights. "I am pretty much a tame, calm person, but you got to be ready."

She continued, "You got to be ready with these women. But at the same time, at the end of the battle, you learn something about yourself and that's my favorite part of doing the show."

In July, the Bravolebrity opened up to PEOPLE about stepping into her power and how she plans on approaching the upcoming season of the hit Bravo series.

"I think that it's always great to be with a group of smart women and business women," she said. "I've learned a lot from these women for the last five years and I've kind of come into my own."

After joining RHOBH for season 10 in 2019, Stracke said that she feels that she's "really found my voice."

"I think becoming stronger as a business woman has made me stronger as a person," she added.

Filming for season 14 of RHOBH is now underway and two new faces are joining the show.

Bozoma "Boz" Saint John, a celebrated author, podcaster and marketing executive, and Jennifer Tilly, a cult-favorite actress whose has made appearances on the show, will enter the fold alongside returning cast members Stracke, Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley and Garcelle Beauvais.

Among the storylines expected to be explored are the marital troubles between Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley. The pair, who share two children, announced in May in a joint statement that they were separating after nearly nine years of marriage.
