Who left Big Brother? Martha Church becomes the fourth contestant to get the boot in 'brutal' back door eviction

Martha Church became the fourth person to leave the Big Brother house on Wednesday night, following a 'brutal' and shocking back door eviction.

Emotional scenes saw Big Brother tell the 26-year-old NHS administrator her time on the show had come to an end on the same day she found out she was nominated.

Instead of walking out of the iconic house live through the front door and being met by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, Martha left quietly via a secret exit with no crowd to cheer or boo her.

Meanwhile, Ali, Khaled, and Thomas survived the public vote and made it through to another week, or at least the next few days.

It came as the housemates were placed in groups of four to take place in a Trick or Treat game, which saw some contestants be gunked with green slime and others being showered with confetti.

Ali, Khaled, Martha, and Thomas were the last group to line up in the garden for the game, but had no idea they were in for a different kind of trick.

Head of House Emma stood in front of the vulnerable housemates as it was revealed to everyone that she had put them up for eviction.

Tense scenes saw Big Brother tell them: 'Only Big Brother knows which pumpkin holds the terrible trick. One at a time Big Brother will place you under a pumpkin.'

After the housemates were placed next to the numbered pumpkins, Big Brother revealed that Emma's evil power was to choose four people to face eviction and one of them would be leaving right there and then.

Reacting to Martha's eviction, fans rushed to X to share their opinions, writing: 'Should’ve been Thomas but I’m glad it’s not Ali.'

'I voted for Thomas, he's pointless in the house. But I'm not a fan of Martha at all so I'm not mad at the result. #BBUK'

'Goodbye Martha, the right choice to be evicted #bbuk'

'No! wrong!'

Reacting to Martha's eviction, fans rushed to X to share their opinions, with some viewers 'gutted,' saying that she 'didn't deserve' to leave through the back door
'It was Martha’s time, let’s be real. #bbuk'

'that was brutal lmao'

'Ok I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of Martha but to evict her over the abysmal Thomas when she actually brings drama?? #bbuk'

'Martha, Daze and Ryan should still be in. Thomas, Marcello and Rosie should be out. #BBUK #BBLL'

Others expressed their shock at the eviction being through the back door, saying they are 'gutted' and she 'didn't deserve it'.

'ugh evicted without saying goodbye, and out the back door is ROUGH #BBUK'

'I’m genuinely gutted for Martha though - she did not deserve a back door eviction. #BBUK'

'as annoying as martha was I definitely don’t think she deserved a back door exit. she was super slay! #bbuk'

'Back door evictions need to be stopped it’s the worst part of the format when it only boils down to having too many housemates or just being lazy when they could’ve done a stage eviction mid week regardless #bbuk'

'I always get more sad when a Big Brother fan like Martha gets a back door eviction over someone who has never watched it, like Khaled. True fans deserve their moment on stage because we know that’s all everybody wants #BBUK'

Halloween week is notorious for being a tough one to survive, usually consisting of shock decisions, double evictions, and lots of chaos - and this year was no exception
Halloween week is notorious for being a tough one to survive, usually consisting of shock decisions, double evictions, and lots of chaos - and this year was no exception.

The eviction line-up was revealed following a shocking Head Of House twist at the end of Tuesday's episode.

This weeks task for Halloween, saw the group gather around a campfire for a spooky challenge, with the winner getting the prestigious title of Head Of House.

A series of games saw the housemates be picked off one by one with those who were eliminated having a bucket of fake blood poured over their heads.

Ultimately, after the final round, Emma won the role and it wasn't long before she was called into Big Brother's secret basement.

A shocking Halloween twist saw her become 'Evil Head Of House,' meaning she would get to decide the four people who would face eviction this week.

After taking her time to deliberate, Emma settled on Martha, Thomas, Khaled, and Ali, outlining her reasoning for choosing each of them to face the public vote.

She said: 'My first choice is Martha. I've seen a few different sides to Martha where I think she can be quite selfish. She quite often thinks everything is about her.

'The other night there was a dispute between her and Hannah involving Lily and it just wasn't nice to see.'

Choosing the second housemate by picking up their 'doll of doom,' Emma continued: 'I'm going to go for Thomas. I think I'd probably miss Tom the least. I don't spend a lot of time with Thomas.

'We haven't got much or maybe anything at all in common.'

Moving on to the third, she chose to killer nominated Khaled, commenting: 'It was brought to my attention that Khaled was fake. At the time I did strongly disagree with that.

'But I think Khaled is more aware of the cameras in the house than a lot of the rest of us.'

Finally, after toying between people, Emma chose Ali, explaining: 'Ali can be a little bit quick to judge.

'She judged Segun recently and I think she judged him wrong and I think she now knows that she judged him wrong because her partner told her specifically that Segun was a good guy.'

The vote to evict closed during Big Brother Late and Live, so fans didn't have long to make their choice.

WHY DID YOU APPLY TO BE ON THIS NEW SERIES OF BIG BROTHER? I’ve been a fan for the longest time. I’ve wanted to do it from the age of 11 and never had the confidence to do it. As I got older, I was still obsessed with the show and as soon as it came back it was ‘this is my time to apply’.
