Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) star Whitney Rose gas revealed she almost quit the show because of the behavior of her castmates.
Rose came under fire from her several co-stars in the first episode of Season 5 including Lisa Barlow, 49, who accused her of criticizing her on a podcast and smashed a glass on a floor as she berated her.
Whitney has now told in an interview with Entertainment Tonight she nearly quit the show in Season 3 because they did nothing to support her when she was struggling to come to terms with abuse she received in her past.
She said: “I didn’t want to go through this publicly, and I didn’t feel that I really had the support of that friend group. But I decided to stick with it and keep going, and I feel like they missed the whole point. Not one of them’s really asked me details about it besides Angie [Katsanevas].
“No one really knows what I’ve been through, what I’m going through, what I’m working through, and what I’ve overcome. And that alone is hurtful because I’ve sat hours on the phone listening to those women and getting to know them. I don’t think I see their point of view. They’re weaponizing it.”
Lisa previously said that Whitney would use her trauma to justify rude behavior.
She responded to the claims, saying: “That … makes me feel really bad. It hurts. To be honest with you, when I shared, I was very hesitant to share … what I was working on.”
Returning cast members include Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, and Angie Katsanevas. Mary Cosby is also back full-time after a break, joined by newcomer Bronwyn Newport.
In the new season's first episode New cast member Bronwyn Newport turned heads in a massive red heart-shaped Saint Laurent fur jacket, topping off a cream lipstick-print dress. Her $15K coat quickly became the evening's hot topic.
Bronwyn's lavish jacket caught the admiration of RHOSLC co-stars Lisa Barlow and Mary Cosby.
Mary and Bronwyn connected over their shared passion for high-end fashion and statement-making ensembles. While they clicked over Bronwyn's style, new cast member Britani Bateman seemed puzzled by it, despite expressing her affinity for it.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays on Bravo.
