While “Southern Charm” has always served up plenty of drama and polished brunches, the cast isn’t just about cocktails and confessions. Behind the scenes (and sometimes in front of them), the stars of Bravo’s long-running reality series have built careers in law, fashion, real estate, hospitality, and more. From OGs like Craig Conover and Shep Rose to new faces like Molly O’Connell and Salley Carson, here’s what the current cast of “Southern Charm” does when the cameras stop rolling.
Entrepreneurs and Influencers: The Busy Lives of the ‘Southern Charm’ Cast OGs
Craig Conover has come a long way from being the show’s underdog law student. Now a licensed attorney, Conover is best known for Sewing Down South, his wildly successful pillow and lifestyle brand. He also co-owns two restaurants, Carriage House in NYC and By the Way in Charleston, has written a memoir, and co-hosts the “Pillows and Beer” podcast with friend and castmate Austen Kroll.
Speaking of Kroll, he’s the founder of Trop Hop, a fruity IPA beer brand that now ships to select states. In addition to his business ventures, he and Conover are actively expanding their hospitality footprint.
Shep Rose, the self-described Charleston bon vivant, once sold real estate in Dubai and has stakes in local restaurants, including The Commodore. He also has a clothing line, ShepGear, and published a memoir titled “Average Expectations: Lessons in Lowering the Bar.”
Madison LeCroy began as a hair stylist and salon owner, but she’s since become a full-fledged influencer. With a roster of brand deals including Victoria’s Secret and Amazon, she’s also signed with UTA to take her content creation career to the next level.
From Design to Dining — Charleston’s Tastemakers
Leva Bonaparte, who announced her departure after season 10, has built a hospitality empire with her husband, Lamar. Their Republic Development and Management Group oversees multiple King Street hot spots like Republic Garden & Lounge, Mesu, Bourbon & Bubbles, and Lamar’s Sporting Club. Bonaparte also stars in “Southern Hospitality,” which showcases the behind-the-scenes drama of her nightlife empire.
Venita Aspen, known for her high-fashion looks and hosting glam-filled events, is a content creator and model who studied culinary arts before pivoting to a career as a full-time influencer.
Rodrigo Reyes brings both flair and function to his job as an interior and floral designer. He runs RAR Designs and frequently partners with local businesses to create eye-catching décor throughout Charleston.
Former star, Taylor Ann Green, co-founded the lifestyle and athletic apparel brand Reset Athletic. Before that, she worked in sales and orthodontics. During earlier seasons of “Southern Charm,” Green worked for Day Chaser as an orthodontic assistant.
The ‘Southern Charm’ Cast Newcomers are Making Moves
Season 9 welcomed fresh faces like Jarrett “JT” Thomas, a real estate investor who owns a collection of luxury short-term rentals in Charleston called The Inns. Inspired by his designer mom, Thomas renovates, decorates, and manages properties across the city.
Season 10 standout, Molly O’Connell, best remembered as the runner-up on “America’s Next Top Model Cycle 16,” has continued her modeling career. However, she’s been candid about stepping back from fashion after dealing with body image pressures.
Newcomer Salley Carson works in surgical robotics as a spine surgery robot operator. Fans might also recognize her from short-lived stints on “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise.”
“Southern Charm” is now streaming on Peacock.
Season 11 of “Southern Charm” is currently filming. Stay tuned for Bravo to announce a premiere date to what Conover refers to as a “monster” season
