LOVE Island’s Shakira Khan’s family has slammed her show rival over her catty comments towards the Manchester-based model.
Shakira, who’s quickly become a fan favourite on the show, found herself on the receiving end of some less-than-friendly comments from one of her fellow islanders.
This week the 22-year-old had been faced with a tough decision after the latest recoupling, where three boys - Blu, Conor, and Harry - stood up for her.
In the end Shakira decided to couple up Harry Cooksley, a semi-pro footballer who had also been sharing flirty banter with Helena Ford.
The move quickly sparked debate online, as Harry’s partner Sophie Lee was left single and dumped from the villa.
During the day leading up to the re-coupling viewers had noticed the girls attitude towards Shakira had changed as she was hit with a barrage of snide comments especially from show rival Helena Ford.
Shakira’s mom and sisters took to TikTok to share their reaction to the episode.
During the clip, Helena can be heard saying: “ I think she fancies everyone.
“She probably fancies the plants.”
Shakira’s family looked immediately shocked with one sister chiming: “What is her problem ?”
Later remarking:” Ewwww.”
Fans of the show were quick to back the family, flooding the comments to call out Helena- many of which were liked by Shakira’s mom.
One user said: “Mean girl energy, them girls are so threatened by shakira (laughing emoji) absolutely love watching her x
“I think this is how we all reacted when the girls were talking about shakira,” added another.
“Absolute jealousy, loved 3 boys standing up! go Shakira,” penned a third.
Viewers of the ITV2 reality show have claimed that Helena has made one too many "b****y" remarks for their liking.
Fans are convinced she is deliberately stirring the pot by some of the things she has said to Shakira in the villa.
