Now that Summer House's Carl Radke has officially broken his year-long sexual dry spell, he's got his eye on Ciara Miller. Needless to say, his romantic confession on Season 9, Episode 11 left everyone — including Ciara's ex, West Wilson — shook.
Though Carl has yet to reveal his crush to any housemates, the moment he confesses his feelings to Ciara at Snoozefest was already teased in the Summer House midseason trailer. After the clip dropped, West gave his unfiltered take on the unexpected moment.
"The Carl thing was shocking. I didn't even know. No one told me that that happened in the house," West said in a late March interview with Decider. "Carl, I think it's more just, like, kind of cute. Like, that's cute of him."
As for whether he would care if Carl — or bestie Jesse Solomon, for that matter — started dating his ex-girlfriend, West added, "Ciara and I, at this point, have not been together for a while. And we're all grown-ups. I think it'd be fine."

It's no secret that West and Ciara have been at odds throughout Season 9. After she called him a "beta" and "loser" during one early cast dinner, he later accused her of "villainizing" him.
"Stop telling my f--king friends that I used you because it's not true. It didn't f--king work," West fumed in Episode 7, vowing to stop trying to be civil with his ex.
It seems the two have made some incremental progress, though. During their drive out to the Hamptons on Episode 11, Jesse recalled the "big weekend" West just had. "You said goodbye to Ciara, and she said goodbye back without even smacking your hands away," he joked, eliciting cheers from West. "My boy is back. Maybe she'll say hi when you come in today."

"I've hung out with a few girls this summer, but honestly, they're not Ciara," Carl revealed during a confessional on Season 9, Episode 11. "I really haven't met anybody up until this point that I can feel just emotionally vulnerable and can get on a deeper level with."
He doesn't plan to hide his crush from Ciara either: "Being single Carl and just wanting to overshare and over-communicate, I feel like I should just tell her. Because when she walks in the room, I'm like… I mean, yeah, she's a babe."
