After winning Love Island two years ago, Kai and Sanam got married this month, and they only invited one Islander to their wedding.
They tied the knot at the luxury Essex venue High House, and the only person from the reality TV show who attended was Ron Hall, who appeared on All Stars earlier this year.
Kai told The Mirror the simple reason is, they don’t have any close friends from Love Island, saying: “We just don’t have friends from the show like that. That’s just how life goes.”
“We only had 60 guests. Looking around, we realised every single person there had a genuine, close relationship with us. That never happens in real life – everyone in the same room, at the same time,” Sanam added.
After they left the show, there was a big falling out between the 2023 boys and farmer Will, who is still with Jessie from the series.
Kai spoke about the feud at the Pride of Britain Awards, confirming there was drama between Will and the other Islanders. However, it’s still not clear what the disagreement was actually about.
“I speak to them when I see them, and when I see them at events we catch up on group chats, but everyone is doing their own thing. Will seems like he’s doing himself,” he said.
“There is still a WhatsApp group but obviously Will has had a bit of a disagreement with a few of the boys, but apart from that I have no animosity towards Will, we got on, but we weren’t best friends.”
After that, Tom and Casey stayed friends, but the rest of the Love Island 2023 boys sort of went their separate ways. So, it makes sense that no other Islanders were invited to Kai and Sanam’s wedding.
However, Will did congratulate the happy couple on Instagram, saying, “Congratsssss.” So, the feud must be over after all these years.
A few fellow Islanders from other seasons have congratulated the happy couple on Instagram too, including Tasha Ghouri who said, “Congratulations so beautiful” and Dami Hope who commented, “Beautiful.”
Lucie Rose Donlan added, “Wow congratulations guys,” Liam Reardon said, “Massive congratulations both. Look amazing” and Jessie Winter added, “Congratulations Kai and Sanam.”
