In a jaw-dropping turn of events on Big Brother, viewers were left stunned as a housemate faced an unexpected backdoor eviction.
Rosie, better known by her moniker Baked Potato, was unceremoniously ousted after it was revealed she had the fewest public votes.
The tension was palpable as housemates huddled on the sofas, each selecting envelopes in a nerve-wracking process, which saw Segun pick out a golden one and face a monumental choice.
Charged with the task of choosing three housemates to accompany him into the vault, Segun chose Baked Potato, Ali, and Nathan for the challenge.
Big Brother then dangled a £10,000 carrot before Segun, promising the cash if he could pinpoint the housemate with the highest public support to stay; his bet on Ali paid off, reports the Manchester Evening News.

However, the mood quickly shifted when Big Brother disclosed that Baked Potato had garnered the least support, resulting in her immediate eviction.
Fans at home were less than impressed with the twist, taking to X, previously known as Twitter, to express their dismay.
One disgruntled viewer vented: "@ITV have single handedly ruined Big Brother in a single episode. This isn't entertainment at all. You've evicted the person with the lowest votes from the 3 chosen, which means other HMs with less votes to win have got to the final smells of rigging to fit their narrative #bbuk."
Another lamented: "This was the worst back door eviction ever. No shock twist no emotional moments and another good housemate gone over boring ones #bbuk."
Another person wrote: "Put the 10k back into the prize pot and have ITV pay for it. Segun has stolen that money from someone else #BBUK."
Someone else expressed their surprise, lamenting on social media: "cannot believe nathan is still in AND BAKEYP GOT A BACKDOOR EVICTION." (sic).
A different viewer questioned: "So segun got 10k for what reason?? Like actually what reason? Explain it, whats the point? #bbuk."
And another disgruntled fan added their two cents: "These backdoor evictions for finalists is s**t and needs to stop. They deserve a proper eviction. It's obvious that evictions aren't allowed at the studios on any other day than Friday. So find another way to make it work #bbuk."
As the latest episode drew to a close, voting lines were thrown open once more, with the eight housemates left fighting for the ultimate title.
The much-anticipated Big Brother 2024 finale will happen on Friday night, with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best set to honour the winner after an unforgettable six weeks of drama.
