VIDEO: Heather Gay Accuses Bronwyn’s Husband Todd of Being “Mean” and ‘Dismissive’ for Refusing to Go to ER With Wife After Dog Attack in RHOSLC Sneak Peek, Plus Bronwyn Opens Up About Incident & Reveals She Sustained 37 Wounds - suong

RHOSLC Star Bronwyn Newport Defends Marriage Amid BacklashHeather Gay is taking aim at Bronwyn Newport‘s marriage and husband, Todd Bradley, in a just-released sneak peek at Wednesday’s new episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

As Bronwyn, 39, opened up about the dog attack she sustained in April, revealing that she was left with 37 puncture wounds and a fractured bicep, Heather, 50, shaded Todd, 65, as “mean” and dismissive as she recalled his refusal to go with her to the emergency room after the incident took place.

“I felt bad for her when she was talking about, like, the dog bites, and how Todd wouldn’t even come to the ER,” Heather admitted to Whitney Rose, 38, and Angie Katsanevas, 50, in the preview clip.

Then, when a flashback scene featured Lisa Barlow, 50, asking Bronwyn if she was in shock, or screaming and crying, Bronwyn was seen recounting the events of that terrifying day — as well as Todd’s lack of involvement with her hospital visit.

“I called Todd, and he wouldn’t answer the phone, so I called his assistant and I was like, ‘I’m going to the emergency room. I think I’m losing my arm. You need to get Todd out of the meeting.’ And then he called me back, and he was like, ‘I feel like it’s just a scratch. You’re going to be fine,’” she shared. “And then Gwen went to the emergency room with me, and she FaceTimed him, and he was like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s not a scratch. It’s pretty bad.’”

Back in Heather’s chat with Whitney and Angie, she continued to discuss the dynamic between Bronwyn and Todd, noting that Todd had to be shown a video of his wife’s wounds to get him to take her seriously.

“They describe their relationship as like, he’s obsessed with her. I have not seen that,” she stated. “I think he’s kind of mean to her. He dismisses her. I don’t see the respect and love.”

According to Heather, she believes Bronwyn’s marriage is a lot like her former union.

“I was in a marriage like that, where like, he was the king and everyone talked about how funny and smart and handsome he was, and even if he was an a**hole to me, I was just supposed to be lucky and happy because he didn’t cheat on me. He wasn’t addicted to drugs or porn. And I just can totally relate to that. But there’s something that makes me feel really sad for her,” she explained.

Meanwhile, looking back at the dog attack last week, Bronwyn confirmed a foster dog who had been left unattended at a dog park was behind the ordeal that left her with injuries to her arm and legs.

“There was a dog running around. He wasn’t barking, nothing seemed weird, but he was alone,” she recalled to PEOPLE on December 13. “So I reached out to pet him and he did make a weird kind of skid move. He jerked away from me.”

At that point, Bronwyn shared, the dog began circling around her, eventually lunging at her and biting the back of her knee.

“I know you’re not supposed to scream, you’re not supposed to jerk your arm. I did all of those things,” she admitted. “I totally freaked out. I’d never been bitten by a dog before. I totally lost my mind, and I honestly think I made it worse.”

“He did bite me behind the leg. He got me on the other side of my calf. As I tried to pull away, he got my other leg on the thigh,” she continued. “I think at that point I must have leaned forward or was trying to push him away. He ended up getting my right arm, where my bicep is, very badly and clamped onto my arm. I could not get him off.”

Luckily, a bystander intervened and the police and an ambulance were called.

“I had 37 separate bites when I went to the emergency room. They had to do a really comprehensive overview. I had stitches in both my arm and my leg,” she revealed. “When he clamped down on my bicep, he fractured it. I had a little hairline fracture on the bone, and the bruising was really intense and it was throbbing.”

Despite the vicious attack, Bronwyn, who owns six dogs of her own, said she felt for the dog since it was a rescue and had medical problems that affected its behavior. In fact, she and Todd paid for the dog to be treated and went out of their way to make sure it was placed in a safe environment.

Eight months after the attack, Bronwyn said she’s “healed” and working with someone to prevent scarring.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
