Victoria Lee Robinson shared an anti-cyberbullying message after getting hate online for being in a relationship with Tom Sandoval. The Vanderpump Rules star’s model girlfriend posted a series of hateful messages she received resulting her to ask for a ceasefire.
The trolling:
Messages directed to the Maxim Australia cover model included, “Go choke,” from a follower who is a mother. Other messages come from family-oriented people who popped off in Victoria’s DMs.
“I’m not going to keep posting any more of the disgusting responses because I feel like in some weird way they love the attention. But, I wanted to make a point that bullying on the internet is not okay towards anyone,” continued Victoria. “The death threats I’ve seen my boyfriend get on a daily basis is absolutely disgusting. If you don’t like us, unfollow and leave us alone.”
“The internet today is so disturbing and we need to learn to stop putting so much hate that’s coming from within to other people behind a keyboard.”
Choose kindness:
“This goes for EVERYONE that’s received hurtful messages or have been bullied. This isn’t just about us.” Victoria noted that we never know what others are truly dealing with, so sending “hateful messages or death threats could really hurt someone.”
She encouraged her followers, “Use your platform for LOVE and KINDNESS” instead. “Please stop the toxicity. ” She concluded her post thanking those who shared love and kindness with her.
Victoria wasn’t the only person in the Bravo TV universe to comment on bullying this week:
Teddi Mellencamp responded to the vile comment, “I hope she dies,” after her appearance on this week’s episode of Real Housewives of Orange County. “You guys are out of control. This isn’t funny or cute.”
“You can hide behind whatever profile picture you want, but I hope when you look in the mirror you do some serious self-reflection because I am the least of your problems.”
