VANDERPUMP Villa's Andre Mitchell was arrested twice in the past for two misdemeanors involving driving while under the influence, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
The new Vanderpump Rules spinoff follows Lisa Vanderpump and 12 staff of Chateau Rosabelle, Lisa's French countryside estate, as they create a "once-in-a-lifetime" experience for guests during their stay.
One of the cast members, Andre Mitchell, who is one of the mixologists on the show, had an apparent past drinking problem.
According to court documents exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Andre was arrested in March 2020 and October 2018 for DWI, Driving While Intoxicated - both of which happened in the state of Texas where the star is from.
On October 5, 2018 at nearly 4 o'clock in the morning, Travis County cops pulled over the TV personality after they detected him going 100 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone.
The 31-year-old told cops at the time that he was speeding because his BMW was in sport mode and, at first, "lied" about consuming alcohol, but then confessed to consuming "one crown royal apple shot."
However, when cops conducted a PBT (preliminary breath test), he blew .119, and when they conducted other field tests, they found he "lost balance," "failed to touch heel to toe," and "turned improperly."
He also "swayed" when walking, had "slurred" speech and "strong" alcoholic beverage odor coming from his mouth.
Following his arrest for DWI and $3k bond, he appeared in court on October 18 where he was ordered to fill out an alcohol assessment through Travis County Counseling and Education Services.
This 2018 case was ultimately dismissed in September 2021 since he was convicted of his other DWI case.
Andre was sporting a smile in both his 2018 and 2020 mugshots.
ANOTHER ONE
On March 9, 2020, cops charged and arrested Andre for DWI after they arrived at the scene of a car crash at 1:44 a.m. where a vehicle "backed into another car."
Cops learned that the reality star had "disorderly" clothing, observed his eyes to be "bloodshot" and "glossy," had "slurred speech," was "disoriented," was "swaying" and "stumbling" when walking, and had a "strong" alcoholic beverage odor.
Although he refused a breath test, cops reported that he was a "four" on a scale of zero to 10 with 10 being highly intoxicated, and charged him for having a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .15 or more.
Andre confessed to drinking "two to three Crown Apple and Sprite's" during a four-hour time period.
He was arrested and his bond was set at $5k.
After a court appearance on September 22, 2021, in which he plead no contest, Andre was placed on 12 months probation, charged $4,000 fine and ordered to complete 30 hours of community service.
In addition, he was ordered to complete a drug and alcohol assessment at Counseling and Education Services (CES), participate in a drunk driving panel class and complete a DWI Offender Certified Education Class.
He was also ordered to complete additional counseling and treatment as recommended by his Supervision Officer.
Plus, the judge ordered an ignition interlock installed in his car, which is a breathalyzer that an individual has to breathe into before driving.
Andre was officially discharged from probation in September 2022.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Andre and Hulu for comment.
CAST FAKERY
According to his Hulu bio, Andre got involved in the service industry after an injury at Texas State ended his college basketball career.
His resume includes working at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and working as a bar manager at Austin's biggest nightclub.
However, in the court docs obtained by The U.S. Sun, Andre said that he worked as a sales manager at a company called Spot On for three months as of October 2018.
He reported he made $3,000 per month at the time.
In 2020, Andre noted in the court docs that he had a position doing HVAC Sales for a company called ARS, which he worked at for six months, and he had a monthly income of $1,700.
It appears he got into acting shortly after since his IMDB page says he appeared in CW's Walker in 2022, a film called Masquerade, and will be appearing in the new film Hierarchy this year.
'GOOD TV'
The U.S. Sun previously reported that "half of the staff" - a mix of actors and models - was actually "clueless" about their work roles, and were mainly hired to make "good TV" to make it interesting and entertaining.
It was also revealed that cast member Eric Funderwhite, who was the chateau's manager, was an educator for stem cell therapies and previously hosted a podcast where he shared his expertise on regenerative medicine.
It was reported that his ex had gotten a temporary restraining order against him for one month in 2020.
She claimed he "physically assaulted" her and allegedly gave her black eyes, as seen in photos from court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun.
With all the drama surrounding the cast, Vanderpump Villa "could replace" Vanderpump Rules amid the declining ratings.
