Lisa Vanderpump's professional circle might look a little different when Vanderpump Rules returns.
Following the season 11 reunion, showrunner Alex Baskin discussed the episode's 'reflective moment' and what the future holds for the Bravo reality series.
'Obviously there's been a lot of speculation,' he told The Hollywood Reporter. 'People have written the show's final chapter many times, and the show has continued.'
Tuesday's concluding episode of the three-part reunion special ended with an emotional flashback montage of the show's 11-season run, leading some fans to speculate that it could also serve as the series finale.
'So just because it's a reflective moment that clearly marks the end of one chapter does not necessarily mean that it is the end of the show,' explained Baskin.

'Obviously there's been a lot of speculation,' he told The Hollywood Reporter. 'People have written the show's final chapter many times, and the show has continued'
'You see, there is still a lot of fertile ground and developments in their lives,' he continued.
'So I think it would be very premature that just because we really close the book on Scandoval in a lot of ways -- because it was this moment that sort of blew up everything and that extended into the next season -- does not mean necessarily that the show is over.'
Following the tense reunion special, the Vanderpump Rules cast is taking a hiatus from filming before going into season 12.
'We thought the break was the right way to go,' said Baskin, adding: 'It's clear that everyone needs time to reset.
'I think we're going to take a full look at what the group looks like in a period of time and figure out what we want to do next.'
'And that may mean that certain people have to make decisions as well,' explained Baskin. 'We don't want anyone to do the show if it doesn't make sense for where they are now.'
As VPR 'typically' films in early July, Baskin noted that they'd have to begin pre-production in June in order to make their usual schedule.
'And I don't think that would be great,' he said. 'I don't think that would have been enough time.
'So I think we as a show will gather ourselves and look at what we want to do, and that will be informed by what everyone individually wants to do. And then we'll figure out what the path is going forward,' added Baskin.

Meanwhile, Bravo has not yet given Vanderpump Rules an official renewal for season 12.
Baskin noted that 'all things are possible' when it comes to casting, as the hiatus might mean a change in faces if and when the show returns.
'There's still a strong core there. So I could totally see some version of the bulk of the cast returning and then some notable additions,' he said.
'I think there's plenty of life,' Baskin continued. 'What form that takes, I don't exactly know. But that's certainly very possible.'
Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules is now streaming on Peacock.
