Vanderpump Rules star, Scheana Shay is giving an update on baby number two and where she stands on that. She has talked about adding to her family and if it is a possibility. Recently, Scheana and her husband, Brock Davies underwent fertility tests so they could see what was next. Now, the singer is back with an update but is another child on the horizon? Scheana Shay Gives Baby #2 Update
After having her daughter, Summer Moon, it was clear that another child was the last thing on Scheana Shay’s mind. She had a traumatizing labor with Summer, having been diagnosed with HELLP syndrome. This is a severe form of preeclampsia. Additionally, Scheana had postpartum OCD and could not leave her daughter with anyone other than a family member. In Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, she and her husband, Brock Davies were at odds quite often. He wanted to date like a regular couple again and felt they shouldn’t be reliant on her mother, Erika.
Therefore, he suggested getting a sitter for Summer Moon but that further fed into Scheana’s anxiety. She did not want just anyone watching her baby and this caused fights between the couple. However, they did talk about whether or not they wanted more kids. She had frozen her eggs in Season 8 so all they would have to do was test Brock’s sperm. It was a lot to think about but more recently, Scheana and Brock headed to a fertility clinic to explore their options.
They were looking into surrogacy as Scheana was unsure if she could go through pregnancy and labor again. More so, she was unsure if she was mentally able to handle the idea of having another child. Now, Scheana Shay has another update and according to Reality Tea, she has all of her answers. Scheana officially cannot carry another child:
“As much as I want to give Summer a sibling she can grow up with — like she has two older siblings in Australia from his previous marriage, but they are not in her life, unfortunately, I also had HELLP syndrome and I’m very high-risk and now going into turning 40, I can’t carry another baby. My doctor’s like ‘Absolutely not.’ Adoption or surrogacy are the options that we have.”
Brock has two children he does not see which fans have had their thoughts on. Yet, it seems he has been given a second chance with Summer Moon and is enjoying every moment. Sadly, he and Scheana have to explore other options now which they expected but will they?
What’s Next?
Now that Scheana Shay has a definitive answer as to what she can do regarding a second child, what has she decided to do? She and Brock Davies are back to the drawing board which involves surrogacy. The hope is that by the time the process starts and finishes, Scheana will be ready regarding her mental health. However, that is an everyday battle and no one can anticipate how she will feel when the time comes. Recently, Scheana and her family did a photo shoot and many thought it was a pregnancy reveal. Unfortunately, that has been taken off of the table for Scheana and Brock.
