Vanderpump Rules' Jax Taylor Reveals When He Lost His Virginity as "Late Bloomer"

Jax Taylor is SURving up a personal tidbit about his sex life.

Having grown up in what he called a "very conservative neighborhood," the Vanderpump Rules alum considers himself to be a "late bloomer" when it comes to the birds and the bees.

"I don't even think I had the sex talk with my dad," he shared on the March 20 episode of his In the Mind of a Man podcast, comparing his teenage years to the 1999 coming-of-age flick American Pie, in which a group of high schoolers make a pact to lose their virginity before graduation. "Sex wasn’t really a big thing then."

Jax continued, "I didn't lose my virginity until I was 19."

But now, at the age of 45, the Valley star has a very different mindset on sex and relationships.

"Once I get there, I lose the interest," he admitted. "As soon as I have sex with that person, I'm done."

While Jax noted that this hasn't happened with every partner he's been with, he's found "for the most part" that the chemistry fizzles out shortly after sex. As he put it, "I used to be the 'Three Week Wonder.' I would stay with someone for three weeks and that was it."

As for how Jax feels about dating now? He has a different approach following his breakup from his wife of five years Brittany Cartwright, with whom he shares son Cruz, 3.

"I am in no way, shape or form interested in a relationship," he shared, explaining to sex therapist Dr. Emily Morse that he's more inclined to pursue a more casual dynamic amid his divorce. "But at the same time, I don't want to be like, 'I'm glad you're here. I don’t want to date you. Let's just have sex.'"

Jax added that he would understand if Brittany has the same approach to people she meets these days.

"I want her to go out, explore and have fun," he noted, "because it didn't work for either of us."
