Vanderpump Rules finally gets a new update on future of show after summer's axe

Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, Lala Kent, and more are expected to return for a Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules now that the cast has had time to recover from the previous drama

All good things come to an end, but Vanderpump Rules is starting right back up again after an emotional season 11 finale.

After giving the cast some time off this summer, Bravo revealed that they're back to filming for season 12. The show's brief hiatus gave the cast some time to relax after the whirlwind they've been through in the past few years. Plus, some of them have picked up a few different career and life opportunities while taking a step away from the cameras.

As for which of those cast members will be returning, it's uncertain, but there's no indication that anyone's fully ditching the project. Ariana Madix, James Kennedy, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, Tom Sandoval, and Tom Schwartz, as well as Ally Lewber and Brock Davies are anticipated to return.

Ariana dealt with the brunt of the whirlwind Vanderpump Rules drama over the past few years after being entangled in Scandoval. Her now-ex Tom cheated on her with her best friend which prompted some total fallout and shook up everyone's relationships on the cast. However, during the off-season, she was able to embrace a new sense of identity as she picked up a few new gigs

She notoriously hosted Love Island USA for a season which allowed her to flex her insight on the fragility of love. Plus, she performed on the Broadway rendition of Chicago and appeared on Dancing With The Stars.

Also keeping busy while the show was paused was Lala Kent. The star welcomed her second child, which she conceived through a sperm donor, on Sept. 3. "Welcome to the world, my love," she wrote on Instagram alongside the announcement photo of her baby's arrival.

Lala previously said she wanted another kid, but couldn't find a "baby daddy" to make it possible. She added: "I know this is not the norm, and I just feel like going the donor route is the right decision for me. I want an absolute with this baby. No matter what, this is my baby. No one can ever come in and take it from me. I don't have to share it on Christmas Day. Just mine."
