VANDERPUMP Rules star Ariana Madix has made the shocking confession that someone defecated on her sandwich shop - as its opening continues to be delayed.
The Bravo star admitted that the smelly occurence had happened on the patio of Something About Her, the sandwich shop she co-owns with Katie Maloney, 37.
Ariana, 38, delved into the delayed opening of the pair's shop in the newest episode of Vanderpump Rules, which was filmed over the summer.
"I don't want to say that things at the restaurant are s**tty right now, but someone did just poop on our patio," she said during a confessional.
The scene showed Ariana and Katie discussing the reconstruction needed to the front patio of the cafe before it would get the green light to open.
PUSHING BACK
The process of getting Something About Her open started as far back as July 2021 when an LLC was first filed.
Bravo fans have been eager to visit the duo's West Hollywood shop, especially after getting a sneak peek of it in the last season of VPR.
The U.S. Sun previously reported that the shop's delayed opening was due to ongoing health department issues.
The front patio was one of the shop's main issues, as it needed to be entirely made over.
In photos of the restaurant, obtained by The U.S. Sun earlier this month, the front patio had been knocked down and the Something About Her sign had been taken down.
The cafe also needed a whole new flooring makeover.
A source told The U.S. Sun that the floor they had was "not for open food use," so "the entire flooring [was] pulled out."
While Something About Her has still yet to open to the public, it is still featured in the opening credits for the new season of VPR.
On filming the scene, a source said at the time, "Something About Her is not open, so at the time, they hired extras to act like customers and fake waiters."
PERMITS IN PLACE
Despite the setbacks, Katie recently confirmed she and Ariana had received all the permits needed to open the shop.
"I think people really, genuinely think this is like, some kind of conspiracy theory when we’ve said so many times that like, we’ve truly been at the mercy of these different agencies and people that assign or give these permits out," Katie told The Nikki & Brie Show.
"And it’s hard because especially in West Hollywood, they don’t operate the same way the greater Los Angeles does, and by the time you get someone to come out and do the inspection that you need, which sometimes takes weeks.
"If there’s any kind of repairs or changes that you need, then that takes a period of time and you’ve gotta get them to come back," she continued.
"[But] it hasn’t even been a year since we actually started work on the property,” she continued.
"We just needed all those physical copies before they would come out and do the final walk-through that we need," she said.
"I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it’s just having to be patient."
