Vanderpump Rules Alum Jax Taylor Pays Off $1.6 Million Tax Debt, Addresses Divorce and Brittany Pregnancy Rumors, and Says He's "Coming Back" to TV

Jax Taylor has paid off his $1.6 million tax debt.

After a lien was placed against the $1.9 million Los Angeles home the Vanderpump Rules alum shares with his wife, Brittany Cartwright, a report has confirmed the former reality star, who recently teased his TV return (for the umpteenth time), has officially caught up.

On January 6, The U.S. Sun revealed Jax paid off federal and state taxes in the amount of $1,602,923.46 for tax years between 2014 and 2021.

According to the report, a federal tax lien was filed in July of last year in the amount of $1,058,345.58, which was broken down as follows: $23,008.45 for 2014, $118,169.57 for 2016, $72,110.16 for 2017, $198,190.36 for 2018, and $646,867.04 for 2019.

“We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid,” court documents read. “Therefore, there is a lien in favor of the United States on all property and rights to property belonging to this taxpayer for the amount of these taxes, and additional penalties, interests and costs that may accrue.”

Meanwhile, another couple of federal liens, one in the amount of $68,124.60 for 2015 and a second in the amount of $132,247.53 for 2016, were also filed, according to paperwork in November 2019, as were state tax lien for $28,634.32 for 2020 and 2021, and $315, 571.43 for 2018 and 2019.

Luckily for Jax and his family, which includes one-year-old son Cruz Michael Cauchi, the liens were officially released as of December 2022. And at the same time, per an October 2022 Interest-Only Addendum to Adjustive Rate Rider, the interest on their home was reduced.

In other Jax Taylor news, the former Pump Rules cast member took to his Instagram account last week, via Showbiz Cheat Sheet, to address swirling rumors regarding his and Brittany’s potentially impending divorce — and claims of having another baby on the way.

“[People] make sh-t up,” Jax told his live audience. “[We’re] not getting a divorce. That’s just the opposite. We’re probably gonna get remarried … We’re different than other reality stars. We don’t believe in divorce.”

Although Jax said Brittany would have to “kill [him] to get rid” of him, he noted that as something “she might do.”

As for the baby rumors, Jax said they’re “definitely not expecting again.”

“It’s clickbait,” he explained. “Every time you click that [the person posting it] gets paid. So stop reading social media. It’s not true. 90% of what people say on social media ain’t true anyway … If it doesn’t come out of our mouths, don’t believe it. I mean, some of you guys just take the bait. I mean, you must be really, really bored or you don’t have a lot going on in your lives. But for you to read that stuff and then question it is really sad.”

Jax then said that when it comes to his and Brittany’s future on television, fans will find out something soon.

“We’re coming back baby, we’re coming back,” he hinted.

Vanderpump Rules season 10 premieres on Wednesday, February 8, on Bravo.
