I don’t think any of us are under the impression that MAFS Australia is completely pure. And if you were, I’m really, really sorry. For years people have questioned if MAFS Australia is staged, and former cast members have had a lot to say about editing, and producer involvement.
It’s a tale as old as time when it comes to reality TV. Of course, the show is full of real people, and we see their real life journeys. But, things are highly edited, and it’s been claimed cast members are given certain “narratives” by bosses.
A video has leaked, which seems to show just how staged MAFS Australia is, in real time. The video quite simply said: “The proof MAFS is fake?”.

The clips shows MAFS Australia 2025 bride and groom Awhina and Adrian. They can be seen walking with their suitcases, into what appears to be the apartments the couples live in. The couple walked through the door, and then an apparent producer said: “Guys, can we get that one more time?”.
The couple then walked in and out of the building, over and over again. Huge camera crews are there, recording it from every angle. The person recording said their walk “wasn’t very convincing”.
The caption of the TikTok said: “If walking through a door needs this many takes how many you reckon the big drama has?”. At the end, a camera man can be heard saying recording it over and over again “made it look better”.
Doesn’t sound very natural and authentic really, does it? In the comments, one person said: “This season has been so scripted… they are all actors at this point.”
However, plenty argued that this was probably to create b-roll for the scene on the show. Thomas Kriaras, who was on MAFS UK, said: “As someone who went on MAFS, this is just for b-roll to show you going from place to place.”
