MAURA HIGGINS will launch her own podcast later this year and is in talks for a lifestyle show – so these may be chances to tell all about Danny Jones.
Love Islander Maura is in huge demand, as she also filmed a Wild West-themed £600,000 Oh Polly fashion campaign in LA a few days ago, dazzling in a white minidress and cowboy hat.
So she will have plenty of chance to spill the beans on her drunken snog with McFLY star Danny at a Brit Awards afterparty earlier this month. Both took part in I’m A Celebrity last year.
One industry source said of Maura’s possible new TV gig: “Several production companies have been bidding for her to host her own show, seeing it as a no-brainer.
With her strong personality and charming Irish humour, they are confident Maura would attract a loyal audience.”
If it happens, the Danny saga would be an obvious talking point.
Another insider added: “If she does decide to open up about her personal life — and this situation in par-ticular — it will likely be on her own platform once the dust has settled.”
Maura’s ex-loves include former Towie star and Strictly contestant Pete Wicks, ex-Strictly dancer Giovanni Pernice and fellow Love Islander Curtis Pritchard.
Seen dining out yesterday in Paris at lavish restaurant LouLou, Maura is now riding high on her shoot for Oh Polly. The brand has previously worked with Love Islander Skin-Su Culculoglu.
Maura has also been in talks Stateside to appear as the Love Island USA social media presenter for the third year running.
Our insider added: “Maura is in high demand right now, with exciting offers coming in from both the UK and the US.
“She’s just wrapped a busy week of meetings with top execs in LA and, while Love Island USA is still being discussed, it will all come down to timing and whether it fits into her busy schedule.”
Maybe she’ll meet a cowboy across the Pond while there . . .
Park strife for couple?
DANNY JONES’ wife is keen not to be seen as a pushover by forgiving the rocker too quickly after his misdemeanour with Maura.
Insiders say Georgia Horsley, a model and former Miss England who has a seven-year-old son with the McFly man, doesn’t want to give anyone the impression Danny is off the hook yet.
The couple were spotted in public together last week for the first time since The Sun revealed how Danny and Maura had sneaked a boozed-up 3am kiss during a Brit Awards afterparty on March 3.
Danny and Georgia appeared to be having a tense conversation as they walked in a park in South West London. Danny could be seen wearing his wedding ring but his wife kept her left hand buried in her pocket.
Georgia is said to have been left feeling “uneasy” about the Brits photo of her man and Love Island beauty Maura.
A friend said: “This whole situation has been incredibly embarrassing for Danny and Georgia.
“They are keen to work through things together and move on. But Georgia does not want people to think she’s a pushover and that all is forgiven already.
"She was concerned the photos of her and Danny together gave the impression everything is fine, when that is very much not the case.”
I’m A Celeb winner Danny broke his silence with a grovelling apology to his wife on Friday. The embarrassed rocker also said he was “deeply sorry” to the rest of his family.
In a post on Instagram, he wrote: “Hello everyone. Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”
In contrast, Georgia is said to be avoiding addressing the situation publicly.
A source said: “It’s not hard for the public to read between the lines here.
“Georgia’s only post on Instagram since Danny and Maura were snapped kissing is a photo of her son Cooper with a blue heart emoji.
“And she hasn’t come forward with a statement. People can make of that what they will.”
Danny is set to return to work this coming week to prepare for McFly’s nationwide tour.
Millie's style is on pointe
MILLIE BOBBY BROWN is tu-tu cute as she channels her inner ballerina for a new shoot.
The British actress looked pretty in pink as she matched her outfit with satin ballet-style pumps as she posed with an adorable pup.
Stranger Things star Millie is the face of the new Florence By Mills mist – Soft Girl – which features notes of raspberry nectar and sugared petals.
The description reads: “It’s like wrapping yourself in a cloud of sweetness or the warmth of a gentle hug.”
I can’t wait to get my hands on a bottle.
Charli's Worthy too
LILY ALLEN is delighted that pal Olivia Rodrigo is a Glastonbury headliner this summer, but thinks Charli XCX should be too.
The Brit pop star, who performed with US singer Liv at the Worthy Farm mudfest in 2022, said: “I’m absolutely over the moon for her. I think it’s going to be amazing and she will absolutely smash it.
“However, Charli XCX not headlining was a bit of a surprise, just because of the sheer amount of material that she has and how long she’s been around, and she’s English, and she’s had her f***ing huge moment. So I don’t really understand why that’s happened.”
Charli will be at Glasto, but on the Other Stage, while her fiancé George Daniel's band The 1975 are playing on the Pyramid Stage.
Lily has revealed her own days at the festival are over. She said on her Miss Me? podcast: “I can’t do Glastonbury any more. Although saying that, I am meeting Emily Eavis for a cup of tea soon.”
The singer, who plans new music soon, split from actor hubby David Harbour last year and said: “I’m just still ruminating, so I read a book, and then I’m ten pages in and I’m like, ‘What have I just read?’
“It’s too soon, too soon.”
Feel better soon, Lils.
THE SUGABABES are back with a hot new track.
Pop trio Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy released their garage-infused single Jungle on Thursday – their first since Situation last August.
And Biz on Sunday’s Emily was one of the lucky few to hear the track for the first time at Metropolis Studios in Chiswick, West London.
The single is the first from their as-yet-untitled upcoming album, which has been almost a decade in the making.
It comes after Keisha revealed that the band, who formed in 1998, wanted their first track to be “something that wasn’t obvious”.
After playing it on repeat, I can confirm that Jungle is definitely my song of the summer, thanks to the infectiously catchy chorus.
And just when you might be thinking the pop trio had done it all, they have included a leopard’s growl at the end of the high-energy track.
I can also reveal they have learned a dance routine for the Jungle music video – and gave a sneak preview during their playback last week.
Hopefully I can nail it before it goes viral on TikTok.
MIRANDA HART will make her prime-time TV comeback on Friday – voicing a Strictly Come Dancing sketch for Comic Relief.
It comes after Sarah Hadland, her co-star on sitcom Miranda, made the final of the BBC One dance series last December.
The sketch will see comics Russell Kane and Rachel Parris as Strictly’s first “amateur professional dancers” in a bid to fulfill new “inclusivity rules”.
A source said: “Miranda was super excited to be involved. She has been part of the BBC family after the success of her self-titled sitcom. Her return to prime-time TV is set to pave the way for more projects on the BBC.”
Miranda, inset, returned to the spotlight last year following a battle with Lyme disease which left her with chronic fatigue.
