NEW YORK — Online marketplace 1stDibs is partnering with TV host Andy Cohen on a Pride Month collection featuring some of Cohen’s personal furniture and décor as well as curated items from LGBTQ+ sellers on the 1stDibs platform.
The collection put together by Cohen, the Emmy-winning host and executive producer of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” is part of a wider Pride assortment of furniture, art, jewelry and fashion from LGBTQ+ vendors on the 1stDibs site.
1stDibs has partnered with the nonprofit Housing Works as its sole charitable partner. The sale of Cohen’s personal collection will go toward Housing Works, which provides housing and services to low-income individuals with HIV/AIDS as well as LGBTQ+ youth, the transgender community, persons with substance use disorders and formerly incarcerated New Yorkers. 1stDibs is also donating to the organization.
“Working with 1stDibs on this campaign to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and support Housing Works’ charitable mission has been an absolute pleasure,” said Cohen. “I’ve always loved design and am a long-time collector, so 1stDibs was a natural choice for selling the pieces I love the most from my treasure trove.”
Cohen describes his style as “a combination of vintage and new. I tend to gravitate toward more masculine-looking stuff, and I love color and pattern.”
Among the pieces on offer from Cohen’s personal collection are a Marcello Fantoni table lamp, a Ralph Lauren blue denim sofa, a red velvet arched stool and a pair of blue custom nightstands. Other items selected by Cohen from LGBTQ+ sellers include a pair of Tommi Parzinger brass candlesticks, a globe chandelier from Fabio Ltd., and a 1960s Dennis Cospen biomorphic laminated wood stool from France.
The full online curation is available until the end of the month.
