New York Rangers General Manager Chris Drury is taking his word very serious when he stated that everyone is available for a trade, as reports now confirm star forward Mika Zibanejad's name is now involved in trade talks.
Just on Wednesday the New York Rangers made headlines when reports surfaced that indicated the Rangers and the Anaheim Ducks were closing in on a trade regarding veteran forward Chris Kreider. Something many fans see coming, considering Drury traded and placed other veterans on waivers.
However, it now appears that there will be more changes coming to the New York Rangers as GM Chris Drury is reportedly looking to part ways with star forward Mika Zibanejad, after a rather disappointing season.
"Rangers have also been engaged in trade talks with clubs regarding defenceman K'Andre Miller and centre Mika Zibanejad, who has a full no-movement clause."
So now, that it makes it three star players Chris Drury has involved in trade talks, Chris Kreider, restricted free agent defenseman K'Andre Miller and now Mika Zibanejad.
Mika Zibanejad has a full no-movement clause, something that has not stopped the Rangers in the past, as they got rid of Trouba and Goodrow. However, Zibanejad has made it clear that he has no intentions on leaving the Rangers despite all the trade talk.
The 32-year old forward may not want to leave the organization but that clearly hasn't stopped Chris Drury before, so it will be interesting to see how this unfolds with time.
