Trista Sutter and daughter’s whereabouts revealed after Ryan said he was ‘missing’ them

Keeping up with the Sutters!

Trista Sutter is safe and sound (again) after husband Ryan Sutter joked about her whereabouts once more.

Last week, the firefighter wrote he was “missing” the Season 1 “Bachelorette” lead — and their daughter — in an Instagram post.

“Missing these two beautiful girls…. (Don’t freak out. Everyone is ok, just on a girls/dance trip),” he captioned the post.

Trista, for her part, revealed where she and Blakesley were in her own post on July 1.

“We divided for the week so I could be with Blakes for her dance comp nationals and Ryan could work and then go to Nashville for a hockey tournament and found this on the side of my bed.   #itsthelittlethings,” Trista, 51, explained, sharing a photo of what appeared to be a red glass heart on her bed.

Additionally, she shared a photo of their dog and Blakesley, 15. “Back home with her fur brother.  ” she gushed.

The Sutters have made headlines in the past few months. In May, Ryan caused a stir after a string of black-and-white Instagram posts about missing Trista when she went off the grid and missed Mother’s Day.

“I really wish I could talk to you. Ask you how you’re doing? How was your day,” he wrote on May 17.

“I’d really like to hear your voice — just for a minute. So many times I’ve called without much to say, not realizing how lucky I was or how much I’d miss the opportunity if it were gone.”

The next day, Ryan clarified that he often writes his posts “without regard for how they will be interpreted and with absolutely no intent to deceive or mislead anyone — that is the farthest thing from my mind.”

“Trista is fine. We are fine. We’re great. Trista is at a place in life where she is searching a bit,” he explained in the caption. “An opportunity presented itself that may help her on that quest. With her family’s support, she has taken it. Part of that process means that she is temporarily inaccessible to us.”

“I miss her. We miss her,” he added.

TMZ later reported that Trista was indeed fine, and was just away filming Season 3 of the Fox competition reality series “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”

She’s yet to confirm the report or reveal where she was at the time.

Trista eventually returned to social media during Memorial Day weekend and joked about having “a nervous breakdown” in a post on May 25.

She defended her husband’s posts, writing: “This time, he couldn’t say anything right and just about every news outlet picked up his ‘cryptic/confusing/attention-seeking/dramatic’ pictures and captions. To me, they gave me exactly what my Words of Affirmation love language needed to get me through some serious self doubt and fear…and that’s all that matters.”

“He doesn’t owe anyone any explanation or require permission to post what he wants to post and share what he wants to share,” she concluded. “If you want to know the rest of the story, I will share in due time.”

Ryan, meanwhile, spoke about the situation further on Chris Harrison’s podcast.

“The intent is not to be like, ‘Hey, I’m gonna throw this out here and make people wonder if my wife’s alive,’” he said on the “Most Dramatic Podcast Ever” on June 17. “You know, that’s not what I’m going after here.”

“I’ll go months without a post, and then suddenly I’ll get, like, in a mood, and I’ll send something. And this was a particular thing that Trista was doing, and it was the end of the school year. It’s been kind of a long year for us, moving and lots of things going on,” he continued. “So, whatever the culmination of all that happened, and I was in that sort of place, so I sent that out.”

Ryan just wanted to express how much he missed his wife while she was gone.

“Honestly, the intent was Trista wasn’t gonna be able to have access to social media until she got finished with this experience she was on,” he said on the episode. “So I was gonna post these things knowing, like, the second she had access to it, she would look at it, and she could see, like, ‘Here’s what happened while you were gone. Here’s how much we missed you.’“

The couple celebrated their 20th anniversary in December 2023. In addition to daughter Blakesley, they are parents of son Maxwell, 16.
