According to several reports throughout the last month, the Canucks were on the verge of trading J.T. Miller and the New York Rangers were at the top of the list of potential suitors but it now seems like those trade talks have cooled down.
During Saturday night's Hockey Night in Canada broadcast, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed that the trade was so close at one point that Miller was expected to be held out of the lineup for Saturday nights game between the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks.

Friedman then continued to say that there is other teams in the NHL that have been granted permission to speak to Miller about a trade, a clear indication that the Canucks are done with Miller.
