Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz: Beyond Schwartz & Sandy's Closure, A New Business Horizon Beckons - lulu
Tom Sandoval sees a future business venture with his pal Tom Schwartz despite the demise of Schwartz & Sandy’s, the short-lived Franklin Village bar they once had together.
During a March 4 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” the former “Vanderpump Rules” star was asked “on a scale from 1 to 10,” how likely was he to “become a partner with Schwartz in business” in the future.
Sandoval did not hesitate with his response. “I mean, I think it’s likely,” he said. “What could go wrong?” he laughed.
Host Andy Cohen also asked Sandoval who took possession of the Schwartz & Sandy’s sign when the business closed in late December. “We’re not sure yet,” Sandoval said. “It’s still on the market.”
Cohen told Sandoval he would like to talk to him about the sign, perhaps to bring it to the Bravo Clubhouse or the next BravoCon.
Tom Schwartz Had 1 Regret About Schwartz & Sandy’s
Sandoval and Schwartz opened Schwartz & Sandy’s in late 2022 after a long process of getting it up and running. The bar opening came just a few months before Sandoval became involved in a shocking cheating scandal with their “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Rachel Leviss. Schwartz was left carrying the load with the other partners as Sandoval stepped back from the bar amid the scandal.
On November 25, 2024, Schwartz posted to Instagram to announce that Schwartz & Sandy’s was closing its doors. He later told E! News that he had “no regrets” about teaming up with his longtime pal Sandoval for the bar because he “learned so much” from the experience.
Schwartz then added that there was one thing he would change. “Maybe I regret putting my name on the sign,” he said. “I would never do that again. Ever, ever, ever. Listen, if you’re Gordon Ramsey [or] Lisa Vanderpump, I get it.”
Sandoval heavily pushed for the bar name to be a spin on his and Schwartz’s last names. He explained to Us Weekly that after partnering in the TomTom bar with Lisa Vanderpump, he and Schwartz wanted to have their last names on their spinoff bar.
Tom Sandoval Weighed In on Brittany Cartwright’s Upcoming Bar Business
During his appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Sandoval was also asked what he thought about Britt’s, the upcoming West Hollywood bar soon to be opened by his former co-star Brittany Cartwright. The bar will be located not far from Cartwright’s estranged husband Jax Taylor’s bar, Jax’s Studio City.
A WWHL caller asked Sandoval, “How successful do you think Brittany’s new bar Britt’s will be, and do you think it’s a bad idea that she’s basically going up against Jax?”
Sandoval shared that he thinks Cartwright’s bar could be successful if she puts in the work. “I think it could do very well,” he said. “I think that when opening a bar, you know, you have to be able to be there. You have to hire promoters, you’ve got to do a lot of work. And I think, you know, time will tell.”
Sandoval noted that Taylor is “in support” of his soon-to-be ex-wife’s new venture as it is with his same business partners.
During a February 2025 episode of her “When Reality Hits” podcast, Cartwright teased that her bar would be coming soon. “I’m so excited,’ she said. “Britt’s WeHo will be opening soon, hoping like late March-ish.”
