Tom Brady Breaks Silence on Old Coach Bill Belichick's Several Media Jobs

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were rumored to have had a tense relationship near the end of their time together with the New England Patriots -- one that presumably only grew tenser after Brady left and won, and Belichick stayed and lost (first games, then eventually his job to a former player in Jerod Mayo).

Now, ironically enough, neither man is in the NFL but both are commenting on it as media members for huge money. Brady is in the first year of a 10-year agreement with Fox as a color commentator on the network's top broadcast team, while it feels like Belichick has a dozen different gigs across every platform known to football fans.

The two came together on one of those platforms -- which happens to be another area of crossover -- on Monday, September 16. Brady appeared as a guest on his former program, the "Let's Go" podcast now hosted by Jim Gray and Belichick.

During that appearance, Brady spoke candidly about how well he feels his old coach is doing as the newest and most prominent member of the sports media circuit.

I actually think coach has done an amazing job in the roles that he's been in and [is] just so insightful. All his experience over so many years, I don't think you could have a better person be involved for the public to actually listen to how games are being called.

He's got so much insight into the history of the game, and I've learned a lot seeing it sitting in those team meeting rooms for 20 years. And I love the fact that so many people sitting around many days of the week listen to him now, [and he educates] the people on what football is really all about.

Brady and Belichick were together for exactly 20 years in New England, during which they appeared in nine Super Bowls and won six championships.
