BROOKLYN Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz were “blindsided” after seeing his brothers Romeo and Cruz had seemingly blocked them on social media.
Those close to the couple, who are on holiday with her family, said Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, had “no idea” this had happened until they saw reports online.
It was initially thought that Brooklyn and Nicola had unfollowed his younger siblings but those close to the couple said this was not true.
A friend said: “Brooklyn had no idea about any of this until he read about it online.
“It's possible Romeo and Cruz blocked them, which would make it appear as no longer following the brothers
“They certainly didn't unfollow them or block them - they're as confused as anyone else.
They added: “Brooklyn and Harper were always incredibly close.
“He adores her and so does his wife Nicola. They have an incredibly close bond and despite everything that has gone on, Brooklyn idolises her.
“This is not an olive branch however. Just because they love Harper and want to show their affection, doesn’t mean they’re trying to make amends with the family.”
The tensions between Brooklyn and his parents, The Sun understands, were sparked by conversations about money with the Peltzes accusing the Beckhams of being “tight” — allegations which were firmly rebuffed by Team DVB who say they have always helped their kids but won’t spoil them.
Brooklyn and Nicola splashed out on a palatial new home in the States which cost them just over £10.5million.
Those close to the couple claimed that David and Victoria hadn’t helped out with financing the move.
But those close to the Beckhams claimed this was “nonsense".
Prior to that it was rumoured that the fallout was sparked by Romeo's now ex girlfriend Kim Turnbull.
Brooklyn was said to have previously dated Kim as a teenager and was reportedly unhappy she was on the guestlist for David's birthday celebrations.
But Kim later released a statement on her social media to rubbish those claims.
The ensuing feud has since made headlines, with Brooklyn accused of drifting further and further apart from his family, with the couple not attending any of David’s birthday parties earlier this year.
Tellingly, however, those close to the family say Brooklyn has still not reached out directly to Harper, who does not have an account on the social media site.
Last month Cruz, 20, was caught appearing to mock Brooklyn online when clapping back at a fan about his decision to pursue a career in music.
One of his followers wrote: “Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?”
Cruz replied: “Wrong brother mate.”
Romeo, 22, has also appeared to weigh in online and last month put up a cryptic post on Instagram which read: “Life is too short, love who you love and tell them how much you really do! Life can flash before your eyes at any moment!
“But the people that truly love you and care for you will always be there... Don't hold back from love or appreciation for anything or anyone.”
