Kristen Doute gave an update on her status with her former “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney.
When they worked as waitresses at SUR in the early days of “Vanderpump Rules,” the three women were thick as thieves and were dubbed “The Witches of Weho.” The trio even had their own wine line before Doute and Schroeder were let go from the Bravo reality show in 2020.
During a January 2025 appearance on Bravo’s “Hot Mic” podcast, Doute admitted she is in a different place in her life than her former besties. “There’s no hate,” she clarified of her relationship with Schroeder. “There’s no, ‘We’re not friends anymore.’ It’s just — people grow apart. She has two kids. She has a huge taxing career that keeps her very busy. She has a husband, and she has a different group of friends.”
“Katie Maloney, I’m still close to,” “The Valley” star added. “Are we best friends the way that we were? No. We are in very different places in our lives. It’s kind of the same thing. I’m closer with Katie, but it’s OK for people to just grow apart without there being some big dramatic breakup, strangely enough.”

Doute, who introduced Schroeder to her future husband Beau Clark, noted that she hasn’t been in contact with her one-time bestie since last fall. “As of today, we haven’t spoken since I think her anniversary,” Doute said on “Hot Mic.” “I texted her, like a happy anniversary thing. And she was like, ‘Oh, you introduced [me and Beau].”
On September 6, 2024, Doute announced her engagement to Luke Broderick. One month later, she confirmed Schroeder did not reach out to congratulate her. “I have not heard from Stassi,” Doute said on the October 4 episode of the “Balancing Act” podcast. “I think the last time I heard from Stassi would have been on her anniversary when I wished her a happy anniversary and we exchanged some kind words. That’s kind of it.”
“I’m okay with that,” she added. “I have a lot of love for her and for her family. I’ve said that a million times. That’s never going to change for me. We have a lot of history, and she used to be like a sister to me."
During a January 2024 appearance on Sirius XM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Schroeder clarified that Doute and the other cast members on “The Valley” aren’t her “group of friends.” “I’m not close with Kristen,” she said at the time. “We text every now and then, but that’s kind of it.”
Stassi Schroeder Commented on Kristen Doute’s Pregnancy Post

The women were photographed together in June 2023, when Schroeder was on her “Straight Up With Stassi Tour” and Doute and Maloney were special guests along with Lala Kent. Schroeder was pregnant with her second baby, Messer, at the time.
On the 2025 podcast, Doute noted that Schroeder reached out to her after she suffered a miscarriage that same year. “I mean, the last time I talked to her…when we had our pregnancy last, she was texting me pretty often and being just very loving,” Doute claimed. “The way that I think she just naturally is, especially because we were in each other’s lives very close for so long.”
It sounds as though Schroeder has not personally reached out to Doute since the James Mae founder announced she was pregnant again in a November 2024 Instagram post.
But she did post a public comment to her former co-star’s post. “Very happy for you, the greatest gift 🧡,” Schroeder wrote to Doute.
