Jax Taylor is getting cancelled. The Valley star could have anticipated public backlash after his appalling behavior towards Brittany Cartwright was aired on the first episodes of Season 2. But perhaps Jax was not expecting the issue to hit his wallet and professional endeavors.
Jax was planning a summer tour for his In The Mind of A Man with Jax Taylor podcast. However, venues are canceling the Vanderpump Rules alum after concerning allegations that his estranged wife was injured after he threw a coffee table in a jealous rage.
Jax Taylor is no longer going on a tour with his podcast after The Valley Season 2 premiere
As per an Instagram post earlier this month, Jax had 12 tour dates lined up across the country. The VPR alum promised a live podcast session and interaction with the public. However, the premiere show, along with several others, has fallen through.
The first show was scheduled for April 18 in Nashville, Tennessee. An employee at the Blueprint Underground Cocktail Club told The U.S. Sun that it was “the club’s decision” not to host Jax at the eleventh hour.
The May 16 date in Austin, Texas, will not happen either. An insider at Wanderlust Wine Co. stated that the behavior that Jax has exhibited on The Valley “does not align” with the company’s standards. They plan on setting up another event to replace Jax.
The Tin Roof in Orlando, Florida, also canceled Jax’s May 3 event. He was set to appear the following day at New Tampa Performing Arts Center, but that was also pulled. As is the May 7 show in Houston, Texas, at the BLVD Park.
The venues that remain are seriously reconsidering
It was also confirmed that Jax’s tour date at the Tin Roof in Orlando, Florida, that was scheduled for Saturday, May 3, has also been axed.
The City Winery in Boston, Massachusetts, is still selling tickets for May 6, but management is “very seriously” reconsidering working with Jax on account of their “concerns” about his behavior on the show.
“The values of our venue do not align with any form of discrimination. We do believe in a stage for all voices. We are currently reviewing the matter internally and will be addressing as we see fit,” a spokesperson said.
“Our goal is to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all our guests, and we regret any distress this has caused,” the statement continued.
It’s one thing to still be selling tickets. But are there any takers? It seems that there is little interest in the shows that are left. A paltry half of the 12 that were originally promoted remain.
