The Valley’s Jax Taylor Claps Back at Brittany’s Story About Incident That Led to Rehab, Points Out “Holes” in “Narrative” and Denies Failing Drug Test as Brittany Shades Him

Jax Taylor clapped back at his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute’s “narrative” about the incident that led him to rehab for alcohol and cocaine. The Valley star revealed the “holes” in their story, and he claimed she “ma[de] up her own conclusions.” Meanwhile, Brittany shaded him on social media.

Earlier this month, Brittany and Kristen recalled how Jax insisted on going with Brittany to their son Cruz’s doctor’s appointment amid their separation last year, despite being hungover. But when her car shared her text from another man, Jax allegedly lost it, yelling at her in front of their son. He later went to rehab and says he’s now sober.

On his In the Mind of a Man podcast, Jax addressed Brittany and Kristen’s story. Though he admitted that “a lot of things” they said are “true,” he also claimed there are “some holes,” as Brittany wasn’t aware of everything because they were “not living together.”

“So I believe that she was making up her own conclusions to fit her narrative, because it’s impossible for her to know what was actually going on,” he said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram, “because we didn’t see each other for eight months.”

“I have not raged or even raised my voice to anyone since I’ve been out of the facility, back in December,” he said. “I don’t even know how Kristen could even speak on this. I haven’t talked to her in god knows how long, probably since filming, to be honest. So again, they are just filling their narrative of what they quote-unquote think is going on.”

He claimed that Brittany “asked” him to come to their son Cruz’s doctor appointment “because she thought I was hungover” and it “wouldn’t have gone over well,” which “100 percent” happened.

Jax admitted that he wasn’t “calm” when he saw the text Brittany received from “another man,” and at the time, he was in the “darkest place of my life” amid an eight-month “bender.”

After he “saw red” and raised his voice at Brittany, he looked back and saw Cruz and felt “sick to my stomach.”

According to Jax, Brittany then called Jax’s manager and publicist, as well as his producer Alex Baskin, which seemingly led to his “job [being] at risk.” He said the potential loss of his job was a “driving force to me getting help.” But he didn’t blame Brittany for this, and he said Bravo never forced him to go to rehab.

Jax also denied Brittany’s claim that he failed a drug test at the second facility he checked into.

The star suggested that he “DMed” a lot of women to “get back” at Brittany for her fling with his friend Julian. He also admitted to using a “manipulation tactic” and lying to her by claiming that Kristen’s fiancé, Luke Broderick, told him certain things, so Jax could try to find out if Brittany was disclosing their personal issues to other people.

Around the same time, Brittany reacted to Jax’s Us Weekly interview where he claimed, “I’m only here right now because of my son.”

In an Instagram comment, via Lainey Gossip, Brittany shared two laughing emojis and an emoji of a coffin.
