‘The Valley’ Star Brittany Cartwright Gives Her $1.9 Million Home a ‘Cute and Girly’ Makeover After Divorce From Jax Taylor - lulu

The former co-stars turned spouses purchased the five-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom house in 2019 for $1.9 million. And now, Cartwright has plans to make it her own, she revealed in a video posted on her Instagram Stories.

"The next project I'm working on is making my home gym as cute and girly as I possibly can so I actually want to stay in here!" Cartwright said on social media. She also shared a story of herself doing a run on the treadmill in the morning to start her day.

The gym has transformed from a dark palette to bright pink, purple, blue, and orange hues. In addition to a treadmill and weight bench, she's adding more equipment to suit her workouts.

"I know it's bare right now, but I have a couple of different weights and machines coming in," she said.

She's also added a bright rug, framed black-and-white photos and a purple barbell on the wall that lights up.

More upgrades include installing a mirror wall and a new television. A picture of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe lifting a barbell is a start to a gallery wall of women to serve as inspiration.

'Girly and cute'

This cute makeover could be inspiring the celeb to hit the gym more often.

"I want to make it really girly and cute," she said. "I'm gonna do a whole collage wall of a bunch of strong, beautiful women working out. I love that! It's gonna be cute when I finish and everything comes in. I'm getting excited. Now I just gotta keep my booty in here."

Previously, the former couple had turned a spare room into a home gym during the COVID-19 pandemic, with dumbbells and kettle bells.

And now the space has been transformed once more to make her workout space more fun and feminine. She added on an Instagram reel, "Now more than ever I am focusing on the important things in life - family, health, and happiness."

She didn't stop at the gym. Cartwright also got into the Halloween spirit, recently showing off pumpkin decor in her kitchen, just in time for the haunting holiday.

Headed to divorce

Earlier this month, Taylor had to refile legal documents after his response to Cartwright's divorce filing reportedly contained several errors. The couple were married on June 29, 2019, and list their date of separation as Jan. 24, 2024.

The two initially said they were “taking time apart," and in February Cartwright had moved out of the $1.9 million California home and into an Airbnb with Cruz.

“Jax and I are taking time apart. I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health," she said at the time.

But now, Cartwright, who currently has primary custody of her son, was able to move back in to her home with him.

The modern farmhouse home is 4,000 square feet and features a living room-dining room combo, and an adjacent kitchen with a powder-blue island with seating, in addition to a butler’s pantry with a wine fridge.

Upstairs, the primary suite comes with its own balcony.

And out back, the sweet space features a pool and spa, along with a barbecue, a patio, and a grassy lawn.
