Sure, Jax may have gone to rehab, but on this episode of The Valley, he proves to Brittany that a tiger doesn’t change its stripes. It’s the same song and dance with Jax: rage, gaslighting, and some fake tears for good measure, but Brittany remains strong.
Kristen tries to navigate the whole baby-making process, as Nia wrestles with expanding her family. Speaking of families, Janet and Jason try to tighten their bond with tattoos in hopes of stopping the haters.
Jasmine is busy trying to sell Danny and Nia the dream of a $1 million home in Sherman Oaks. Yes, it’s smaller than the couple’s current condo, but it’s a HOUSE. Danny sh*ts all over it, considering they are contemplating expanding their family, and four kids will need A LOT of space.
Nia shares that she has zero time for Janet’s lies and lack of apologies. Danny refers to Janet’s behavior as “malicious and toxic,” and Jasmine reminds them that she is actively trying to move forward from what occurred, not have it brought up again and again by Janet! The tough part is that everyone has love for Jason… but Janet is making friendships with Jason difficult.
Janet heads to Scheana’s house with Michelle, and they chat about Hawaii. Janet wonders why Kristen threatened to “beat her a*s” since Janet is not making up false rumors about Danny. It’s weird that Kristen is riding so hard for Danny and Nia, but according to Scheana, this is a pattern with Kristen.
Despite the happy engagement news, Kristen’s stress level is through the roof. She is finding it so difficult to conceive, but Luke has made it clear that they will do whatever it takes to have a baby of their own.
Jax breaks up the sappy moment, bearing an orchid and congratulatory greetings. Despite almost ruining the proposal news, Jax is happy for the newly engaged couple. In true Jax fashion, he swiftly makes the conversation about HIM — how he misses his son, Cruz, and how things have been with Brittany. Luke and Kristen offer sound advice to Jax to help make Brittany more comfortable with co-parenting that you know is going in one of Jax’s ears and out the other…
Brittany is posing solo this year (sans Jax) for Kristen’s brand, James Mae. However, that does not stop Jax from wildly texting her, trying to get a Ring verification code. His behavior is exceedingly manipulative, but Brittany refuses to let him in.
Post photoshoot, Zack and Kristen talk to Brittany about Janet’s Hawaii behavior. Kristen calls Janet’s sexual assault allegation against Danny dangerous, but Brittany does her best to remain neutral, not to show allegiance to any party.
Jesse gets the tour of Jax’s townhouse, and it basically looks like a war zone. The moving boxes, coupled with all the stairs, does not make for a great place for Cruz. Jax has found out that Brittany is dating a new guy, and he is in awe at how quickly Brittany is able to move on. Jax does not really have a plan with Cruz as of now, but he claims he is avoiding the bar scene to stay focused on his number one goal: Cruz.
We learn from Jesse that Michelle may not have filed the proper documents for a divorce, which means they may have to start the process all over. Once he has been served, Jesse cannot make changes to his financial situation, and Michelle claims that Jesse is hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.
Nia is at a crossroads: Are they having more babies, or is she ready for a mommy makeover? The doctor confirms and points out Nia’s insecurities, calling her “right on the verge of extreme.” This is something that blows my mind, considering the way Nia looks! Danny appreciates and understands what Nia’s body has gone through, but are they ready for a fourth kid?
In an effort to make light of the ring rumors swirling around Jason, he has decided to get a wedding band tattooed on his finger. This seems like an extreme retaliation for all the haters, and it sort of makes the couple look like super try-hards. And don’t worry, Janet is also tattooing her ring on.
After getting their ink, Janet gets emotional about the hate she is receiving online and wonders why Jason loves her. She wants it to be them against the world, and a tattooed ring will definitely show the trolls what’s up……..
Nia and Kristen sit down and chat about babies. It’s been almost a year since Kristen and Luke conceived and lost their baby, but Kristen is not losing faith. Nia explains that when it comes to baby number four, Danny would prefer the family to be set in a house before expanding their family. Nia comes clean about wanting a mommy makeover, and Kristen reminds her to be nicer to herself.
Brittany has agreed to meet with Jax only because she wants to figure out the co-parenting situation. Brittany does not trust Jax, despite him coming out of the facility, and Jax fishes to find out if he was missed on the Hawaii trip. Jax does not want to get an attorney involved in their divorce and wonders how Brittany can wipe away 10 years so quickly. Total gaslighting.
Brittany tells Jax that Cruz is not going over to his house anytime soon, and she states that she is done protecting Jax. Brittany points out that Jax went to the bar five days after rehab, drinking and partying, despite claiming he is a changed man. She refers to him as “gross” and tells Jax that it’s too late now to undo all the damage he has done to destroy their family.
Jax feels like Brittany is essentially using Cruz as a weapon and that she is throwing away 10 years. Brittany promises Jax that she will get full custody of Cruz and is asking him to pay half his medical bills. Jax cannot wrap his mind around Brittany trying to “destroy” her baby daddy and threatens her with the California 50/50 law. Despite Jax playing victim, Brittany is over it. Jax storms out, proving that co-parenting is going to be harder than they even imagined…
