Erika Girardi, better known to Bravo fans as Erika Jayne, may finally be facing the financial reckoning that many have speculated was inevitable. Once known for her glam squad, private jets, and fierce designer looks on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika is now making headlines for a very different reason: she may no longer be able to afford her legal defense.
The latest indication? Erika failed to file a reply brief in her appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court, where she’s challenging the denial of her motion to dismiss the Christopher Psaila complaint. To those unfamiliar with legal protocol, this may not sound like a big deal — but in actuality, this never happens. Filing a reply brief is a standard and expected step in the appeals process.
Even more telling: Erika had been granted an extension to file the reply brief by February 18, 2025. But despite the extra time, her attorney, Evan Borges, never filed anything.
We reached out to Borges for comment, asking if there was any explanation beyond the obvious — that he is no longer being paid. The response?
Crickets.
With mounting legal challenges and no reply from her legal team, it’s hard not to draw the conclusion that the money is running out. The once-flowing stream of funds — whether from personal wealth, outside backers, or legal benefactors — looks to be drying up fast.
This isn’t Erika’s only problem. As previously reported, she is also facing an imminent default in Florida, a state where another legal battle is brewing. The cumulative weight of lawsuits, legal fees, and public scrutiny seems to be catching up with the pop singer-turned-reality star.
And with the court order stating that no further extensions will be granted, the case could move forward without Erika’s input, based solely on the documents already filed.
What was once a spectacle of opulence — Erika’s life filled with Versace, diamonds, and luxury — now appears to be unraveling in the stark, unforgiving light of the courtroom. Her silence, her legal team’s inaction, and her absence in expected court procedures point to a reality far removed from the glitz of her RHOBH persona.
With no reply brief filed, a key appeal hanging by a thread, and looming defaults in other jurisdictions, Erika Girardi’s legal strategy seems to be shifting — not by choice, but by financial necessity.
As this case continues to unfold, one thing is clear: even the most dazzling diamonds can crack under pressure.
📢 Stay tuned for continued coverage of Erika Girardi’s legal saga, and what it means for the future of the Real Housewives franchise.
