The Bachelor star Carolina Sofía has no regrets about how she handled herself during the latest episode, and she clapped back at viewers who criticized her for questioning her relationship with Grant Ellis.
Shortly before the Monday, February 17, episode aired, Carolina, 29, took to her Instagram Stories to defend her frustration after she complained about wanting more one-on-one time with Grant, 30, in order to strengthen their connection.
“God forbid you’re not sure about a man you’ve been on one date with,” she captioned a clip from the show, which showed her being confronted by her fellow contestants.
In addition to the clip from the show, Carolina continued to share some supportive comments from fans via her Instagram Stories. “Why are the other girls acting like it’s crazy that Carolina isn’t head over heels for Grant on week 4,” one fan wrote via X, while another added, “Wait, why are we shocked that the entire day becomes about Carolina when all of the girls have put so much energy into disliking her, talking about her and starting drama with her?”
During the latest episode of the ABC reality show, Juliana Pasquarosa confronted Carolina after she didn’t appear “grateful” enough about spending time with Grant despite previously having a one-on-one date. After it was revealed that Carolina was picked to go on a group date, she jokingly told the cameras, “If I’m lucky he’ll kiss someone in front of me.”
Carolina previously found herself at the center of the drama after Rose Sombke claimed Grant was “thinking” of her when he was dancing with Carolina during a past group date.
“She said that last week on our group date, when me and Grant danced together, he told Rose when he was dancing with me he was thinking about her,” Carolina explained during a confessional during the February 10 episode. “Like, I feel cringey at this point. … I’m not happy. I don’t want to do all of these things if I know for a fact that I’m wasting my time.”
Carolina told Grant about Rose’s claims, and he assured her that he never told her that. Meanwhile, he also confronted Rose, 27, about the allegations.
“I’m not going to sit here and lie. You’re somebody that I do think about,” he told her at the time. “I just want to make sure that you know that because I’m very interested in you. Like even today, right? The whole dancing thing onstage and everything, I was thinking about you. I don’t want you to feel like I’m not paying attention, because I am.”
Following the tough conversation, Grant decided to keep Rose in the competition during the episode’s rose ceremony. However, she eventually self-eliminated during the February 17 episode.
She made the decision to leave the show following her drama with Carolina. “I’ve been fighting myself for a long time, like, fighting to stay and fighting through my own emotions. Everything that happened with Carolina invalidated so much about my relationship that was so good,” Rose said in a confessional. “This is definitely a tipping point for me.”
