The Bachelorette viewers left FUMING at 'fake' Jenn Tran's 'cold' treatment of Jonathon Johnson after his brutal dumping: 'He deserves so much better'

The Bachelorette viewers have called out Jenn Tran for her 'cold' goodbye to singleton Jonathon Johnson after she brutally dumped him – with many lambasting her for 'barely saying two words' as he poured his heart out.

Jenn opted to kick Jonathon out of the competition on Tuesday night's episode, leaving Devin Strader and Marcus Shoberg as the final two bachelors.

But as Jonathon, 27, emotionally declared his feelings for the leading star and bid farewell, eagle-eyed fans couldn't help but notice how Jenn, 26, appeared 'disconnected' and offered 'no comforting departing words' to the creative director.

'Is it just me or did Jenn not seem sad AT ALL when she sent Jonathon home?!? No emotions, no tears, no comforting departing words…nothing,' wrote one furious fan on Reddit.

Another agreed, adding: 'Really weird and awkward that she gave Jonathon NOTHING.'

'She clearly had no feelings for him and didn't want to play for the TV,' wrote a third, while another declared: 'Jonathon deserves so much better than Jenn.'

Another observed: 'Even after he expressed how much he wanted her to find her person and be happy. Nothing, nada from Jenn. She barely said two words, even after he said how much he loved her.'

In another thread, one user said: 'Ew. She gave Jonathon nothing when she sent him home.

'All she said was they started off as friends and she appreciated that. No assurance that his slow burn was ok - he just blamed himself over and over — I say this for slow burners: when you find the one it ain't slow!

'It will hit you hard and fast. But back to Jenn. Is she just being hard cuz she can't handle hard emotional situations? She seemed disconnected.'

On a separate thread, another queried: 'I'm newer to this show but are the Bachelorette's usually that cold?

'Like he was visibly upset after he got eliminated and she just sat there with almost no reaction besides this fake smile.

'I thought after the time they had together that she would at least APPEAR like she felt a little bad for dumping the guy.'

In his final scenes, Jonathon sat down with Jenn and admitted to being devastated that he was a 'slow burn' romantically.

Visibly upset at being voted off the show, he said: 'I think the hardest part about this is being a slow burn was my fault through and through. I'm my own worst enemy.

'And I know it doesn't help our situation now, but I was just on a walk along the beach last night and just found these chairs that overlook the ocean and just needed a second to think.

'And the whole time I was sitting there thinking, I found all the clarity that I needed.

'There was nobody that I wanted to be sitting there with more than you. And it hit me that, you know, I took too long to realize that, you know, to realize how incredible you are.

'The things you've taught me just about myself and what I expect and want from a partner moving forward.'

He continued: 'I think you were perfect for me and I wasn't perfect for you. And that's a really hard pill for me to swallow.'

Responding to his admission, Jenn simply said: 'I mean, our relationship was based off of a friendship at first, and I've never really had that before - being able to truly be myself with somebody.'

'And I want you to know how much I truly appreciated that, because you've taught me a lot, too, and I mean that,' Jonathon replied. 'I appreciate it.'

He then added: 'You have two great guys down there, and I really hope you find exactly what you're looking for.'

Following their sit-down chat, the pair hugged it out and Jonathon climbed into his ride where he broke down in tears.

Although it's the end of the road for Jonathon, he has been invited to make an appearance on Bachelor in Paradise.

Speaking to Deadline about potentially taking up the offer, he said: 'There's some really incredible people in Bachelor Nation, and if I have the opportunity to meet some that the producers of the network think are potential good matches, I cannot wait to just go have fun and potentially come back with somebody that just lives in the same realm.

'It's a weird thing to have yourself…out there for everyone to see and to be with somebody that also just understands that, but is just a good person, has a good heart and just wants to have fun, that's all I'm looking for.'
