Bachelor winner Kelsey Anderson is finally planning her long-awaited wedding to Joey Graziadei. She revealed the stunning place they went to marry. Keep reading for all the details.
If Bachelor Nation fans had their way, Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson would be married by now. The fan-favorite couple met on Season 28 of the ABC dating show. He knew early on that Kelsey was the one but had to date the other contestants to fulfill his contract.
Joey proposed to Kelsey in the season finale that aired in March 2024. Millions of viewers tuned in to witness the beautiful moment. The couple barely had any time together before their lives got very busy. He was a contestant on Season 33 of Dancing With The Stars. After he won the show, he joined the show’s nationwide live tour, which just finished earlier this month.
Now that they have more time together, the Bachelor couple is getting serious about finally planning their wedding. They recently made the first step and hired a wedding planner.
Joey Graziadei was open on the show about wanting a long engagement. It was one of the reasons he sent contestant Lexi Young home. She wanted to get married and have kids ASAP. But Kelsey Anderson felt the same way Joey did about enjoying an engagement instead of rushing into marriage.
They have both been open about wanting to start a family within the next few years. But they also want to enjoy the first few months or years of marriage kid-free. They don’t have a timeline yet for their wedding.
But the couple spoke to Swooon during Hulu’s recent event where ABC announced the next Golden Bachelor star. Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson revealed that they are still in the early stages of wedding planning. They haven’t even made the guest list yet. But one name that is sure to be on the list is his DWTS partner, Jenna Johnson. The professional dancer revealed in November that she will choreograph Joey and Kelsey’s first dance.
But Joey Graziadei said that he plans to be picky about who else gets an invite. Both he and Kelsey have big families. That’s why he’s setting a rule for the guest list.
“I’ve heard this rule all the time, and I think it’s an important one: You shouldn’t meet someone at your wedding. It should be everyone there you actually do know personally, someone you’ve had a relationship with,” he said.
Joey added, “Now, that doesn’t always work out perfectly, but I like the idea of just having it be personal. So whatever that size ends up being, that’s what we’ll do.”
One of the most important details of wedding planning is choosing a location. Kelsey Anderson revealed that they want their wedding somewhere warm. They’ve narrowed the options down to California or somewhere on the East Coast, possibly in North or South Carolina.
“I think that we’re open right now, but definitely want good weather, and California typically has good weather. But then the Carolinas do as well,” Kelsey said about her dream wedding location.
But at this point in wedding planning, nothing has been decided for sure. The couple are still debating whether they would accept an offer for a TV wedding if ABC offered it.
The Bachelor couple initially planned for a 2-3 year engagement before tying the knot. It seems they are right on track for that plan. Do you think they should choose California or the Carolinas for their wedding?
