‘That was a great decision by… everyone’ — Brittany Cartwright breaks silence on Jax Taylor’s shock Valley exit, exposes fake sobriety claims and storyline lies, and reveals where she stands in the show’s messiest feud - suong

Brittany Cartwright Breaks Silence After Jax Taylor Leaves The Valley Season 3 | Us WeeklyBrittany Cartwright appeared on Tuesday’s Watch What Happens Live, where she reacted to the recent news regarding estranged husband Jax Taylor‘s exit from The Valley.

After Jax, 46, confirmed he would not be featured on the series’ upcoming third season, Brittany, 36, suggested he’d been forced to quit, shaded his alleged sobriety, and called out his fake storyline while also offering an update on their divorce, confirming whether she’s single, and dishing on the drama between Kristen Doute, 42, Janet Caperna, 35, and Zack Wickham, 36.

“I found out the night before [about Jax’s departure], and I was like, ‘That was a great decision by… everyone,’” Brittany revealed on the July 22 episode of WWHL.

While Jax said he would be stepping away from The Valley to focus on his sobriety, his mental health, and coparenting, Brittany suggested that was untrue, noting that he wasn’t fully sober or still in therapy.

“He’s sober from some things, but not from all things, I’ll just say that,” she stated.

Although a lot was alleged on the show in regard to Jax’s efforts to remain on good terms with her and stay involved with his son, four-year-old Cruz, Brittany said he never installed cameras at his house like he said he would.

“That was a storyline for him. So he lied about that,” she claimed.

Because Brittany has “no trust whatsoever” in Jax, describing their dynamic as “horrible,” Cruz rarely spends the night with his dad.

“Maybe 10 times in the past year and a half, two years. So he’s with me 24/7, which I love. I wouldn’t change it for anything,” she shared, also confirming Jax does not help with the mortgage or Cruz’s expenses.

Earlier this year, it was stated that Brittany and Jax’s divorce would be finalized this month. But on WWHL, she confirmed they were unable to close the case.

“We both didn’t send in all our stuff at the right time. It’s a lot of stuff that happens. So October 15 is the new date and it’s gonna happen,” she explained.

Brittany Cartwright Reacts to Ex Jax Taylor's Departure from 'The Valley'

As for whether she was single, Brittany announced, “I’m single as a Pringle.”

Also on the live broadcast, Brittany was questioned about whether she could see how Kristen and Zack felt that she wasn’t holding Janet accountable for her comments about the two of them, especially after she was seen laughing about them and not defending them.

“Yes. I hate that that’s what’s portrayed. I wouldn’t normally do that. I don’t feel like I would laugh that hard,” she explained. “[I was] uncomfortably laughing, and I’m so sorry. I love Janet. I love Zack. I love Kristen. But I think it’s hard because they all don’t like each other, and I’m in the middle.”

Later, on the WWHL: After Show, after being asked what it would take to get Kristen and Janet’s friendship back on track, Brittany said she would love to see the women come together and work through their issues face-to-face.

“Hopefully, we can bring them together to talk about it instead of [fighting] about it. I feel like they’re fighting so much about things that are on social media and stuff. But if they’re talking about it in real life, maybe they’ll be able to get over it and come to a common ground. That’s my goal,” she declared.

The Valley‘s season two reunion begins airing next Tuesday, July 29, at 8/7c on Bravo.
