“Thank you for your interest in Astronomer” — Gwyneth Paltrow makes surreal cameo as ‘spokesperson’ in bold PR stunt after tech CEO’s viral affair scandal explodes at Coldplay concert… just days after Chris Martin publicly called out the couple ..- suong

Gwyneth Paltrow has made an appearance on Astronomer's social media page, acting as their 'spokesperson' to answer questions after the company's 'affair' saga.

Astronomer's CEO Andy Byron was caught canoodling with his Head of HR Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert on July 16 - causing a social media frenzy because of their embarrassed response to blowing up on the big screen.

Chris Martin - who is Paltrow's ex-husband and father to her two children - called the couple out at the time for 'having an affair' because of their fraught reaction.

Both Byron and Cabot quit their jobs at the tech company as a result of the scandal.

The little-known tech company, which makes software to help other businesses' workflow, came into the stratosphere after the Coldplay moment with many not knowing what they do or that it existed.

Now, Paltrow has made a cameo on Astronomer's LinkedIn page in a hilarious PR-crisis move by the company - which named her as a 'temporary spokesperson' - to change that.

The actress, wearing a blue shirt with corporate music playing in the background, said: 'Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow.

'I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300 plus employees at Astronomer.

'Astronomer has got a lot of questions in the last few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones.'

As the corporate music continued playing softly in the background, the cameo shifted to an on-screen question - supposedly highlighting one of the 'most common' inquiries the company has received in the wake of the scandal.

'Q: OMG! What the actual f**k' the text begins, abruptly cutting off just as Paltrow reappears on screen.

The actress continues saying: 'Yes! Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow.'

She then seemingly leans into the irony of the moment, remarking, 'We've been thrilled to see so many people suddenly interested in data workflow automation.'

With a knowing smile, she adds, 'As for the other questions we've received…' just before the nearly one-minute clip cuts back to the on-screen questionnaire.

'Q: How is your social media team holding—' the next query begins, before the screen pans back to The Talented Mr. Ripley star, who offers another comedic response.

'Yes! There is still space available at our Beyond Analytics event this September!'

'And now, we'll return to doing what we do best... delivering game-changing results for our customers. Thank you for your interest in Astronomer.'

'Leo Zheng: mic drop,' quipped a third.

'Wait - wasn't she Chris Martin's ex-wife?' another joked, referencing the Coldplay frontman.

Still, not all responses were without critique as some viewers questioned the campaign's clarity and tone.

'A clever way to reach your audience - unexpected, but memorable,' one commenter wrote. 'Though, to be honest, the question and answer felt like they were on entirely different airflows.'

Astronomer's HR chief Kristin Cabot was seen for the first time since the kiss cam scandal that led to her resignation on Thursday.

The software company confirmed the married 52-year-old stepped down from her role, just over a week after she was caught with the company's CEO at Boston's Gillette Stadium.

'Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer - she's resigned,' a rep told TMZ.

But the fallen HR head appeared more focused on the health of her plants than her marriage when she was spotted for the first time back at her $2.2million home on Wednesday.

Exclusive Daily Mail photos show the now ex-Head of People alone and looking glum as she watered her flowers and shrubs on the lawn of her two-story, four-bedroom property in Rye, New Hampshire.

She was pictured without her wedding ring, which she had been previously seen wearing in social media photos, but was notably absent during her now infamous concert appearance.

The status of her marriage remains unknown, however, with her husband, Privateer Rum CEO Andrew Cabot, 60, an heir to the $15.4billion Cabot family fortune, nowhere to be seen at their home.

Cabot was reported to have resigned from the company on Thursday, just a few days after Byron stepped down as CEO

The billionaire businessman was reportedly on a work trip in Asia when the scandal erupted and returned on Saturday to find his family embroiled in the controversy.

Kristin's now-deleted LinkedIn account showed that she has served as an 'advisory board member' at Privateer Rum since September 2020.

Astronomer's replacement for Byron, interim CEO Pete DeJoy, surprised many as he gushed over the viral infamy in his first statement since entering the hotseat this week.

He appeared to suggest he was thrilled by the Coldplay incident, and celebrated the fact Astronomer is now a household name thanks to the saga.

He wrote: 'The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name.

'I'm stepping into this role with a wholehearted commitment to taking care of our people and delivering for our customers. Astronomer's foundation remains strong, built around the thriving Apache Airflow community.'

He added that the company 'won't let you down.'
