Teresa Giudice’s Husband Luis Ruelas Takes Out $1 Million Loan to Help Pay Off $3.4 Million Mansion Amid ‘RHONJ’ Star’s Rumored ‘Money Troubles’-quang

Teresa Giudice‘s husband, Luis Ruelas, has reportedly borrowed $1 million in an effort to pay off the $3.4 million mansion he purchased with the Real Housewives of New Jersey star in January 2021.

As fans await the infamous scene teased in the season 14 trailer, in which Margaret Josephs, 57, claimed Luis “pissed [Teresa’s] money away,” news of the new loan, which Luis, 49, reportedly took out in March of this year, has been confirmed.

According to court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun on June 4, Teresa, 52, and her husband, who she married in August 2022, did not take out a loan when they bought their seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom Montville, New Jersey, property years ago. Instead, Luis waited until March 25 to borrow $1 million from an LLC based out of Florida.

As RHONJ fans may recall, Luis was listed as the “sole member” of the LLC used to buy the home when he purchased his and Teresa’s mansion.

The report went on to say that Luis is a co-founder of Digital Media Solutions (DMS) and has been helping with the launch of Vinivia, a live-streaming app. Although some have said that Luis is the owner of the new app, the outlet clarified that he is actually an independent contractor aiding with the project.

Although Teresa recently appeared on Tori Spelling‘s podcast, misSPELLING, denying Margaret’s suggestion that Luis spends all her money, stating that Margaret doesn’t “know what [she’s] talking about” and accusing her of creating a “false narrative,” Luis previously said he “suffered economic injury,” including the loss of his job and “business opportunities” amid a $5 million lawsuit with lawyer Kevin S. Johnson and his firm, Johnson Litigation Group.

Adding to the couple’s potential financial strife is the fact that Teresa owes the federal government $615,720.94.

In June 2023, however, Teresa’s attorney said the reality star was working to pay off her past-due balance.

“Ms. Giudice has been aware of her tax obligations for years and makes significant timely monthly payments towards her outstanding tax liabilities and will continue to do so until those liabilities do not exist,” they stated.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
