Teresa Giudice’s daughter thinks the OG deserves to return to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
Speaking with Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap” in March 2025, Gia Giudice explained why her mom should remain on the show she debuted in 2009, despite rumors of a full reboot or cast shakeup for season 15.
“I truly don’t think the OG is going anywhere,” Gia told the outlet in a video interview. “That’s just my opinion. I am a little biased— that’s my mom. But she’s a legend, she’s an icon. She brought the show to what it is today, and Jersey will always be her home.”
Teresa Giudice is the only original cast member who remains on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” after 14 seasons.
Gia Giudice Says It’s ‘Pointless’ to Bring Both Teresa & Melissa Gorga Back
The RHONJ cast divide stems from an ongoing feud between Giudice and her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Melissa Gorga. When “Housewives Nightcap” asked Gia if there was a chance her mom could make up with her aunt so they could both come back, the 24-year-old shut the idea down.
“For the aspect of just filming, it’s pointless,” Gia said. “It’s still, it’s so much deeper than that and I think that’s what the fans don’t understand. Like, there’s so much turmoil and hurt and it’s just been so long. I think it’s safe to say both parties are over it. And what the fans need to understand is this is our real life. We don’t want to fake it anymore. We’re really over it. And it’s just, the…there was too much toxicity, it’s kind of just let bygones be bygones”
“If Bravo wants to bring them both back, they need to understand there probably won’t be a relationship,” Gia added.
Teresa Giudice Said She Would Never Film With the Gorgas Again
Teresa Giudice has stated that she is not open to filming with Melissa Gorga. During a July 2024 guest spot on Kelly Ripa’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast, she vowed to never film with her brother Joe or her sister-in-law again.
“Never Again,” Giudice told Ripa. “First of all, to me, family is so sacred. I’m all about ‘The Godfather’ movie. You never go against the family. I live by that, I stand by that, I’m a loyal person.”
She also told PIX11’s ‘New York Living” that her break from filming with the Gorgas was a “permanent break.”
In August 2024, Melissa Gorga told “Two T’s In a Pod” co-hosts Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge said she wouldn’t want to continue on a toxic show alongside her estranged sister-in-law.
“So, if Bravo decides to go that route, kind of the darker whatever it is route, then I need to say, ‘That is not a show that I want to be on anyway,’ which it truly isn’t,” she said. “I do not want to be on that toxic [expletive], so as long as she is there and that whole thing would come back, I wouldn’t find it as a loss.”
Gorga further explained her remarks during an appearance on the “No Filter With Zack Peter” podcast. “I had said like I don’t want to come back to the toxic ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ and what that was,” she said. “It was getting really dark and something that I wasn’t proud to even be on. I feel like that part of the show I grew out of, almost. I feel like what I was trying to say was that I want to be on ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey,’ but I want it to be a ‘Housewives’ show.”
