The eldest daughter of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice wants to live at home a while longer.
On the premiere episode of her podcast, “Casual Chaos with Gia Giudice,” Gia admitted she doesn’t feel an “urgency” to fly the coop just yet. The 24-year-old Rutgers University grad lives with her mom and stepfather, Luis Ruelas, as well as her siblings in the family’s Montville, New Jersey, mansion.
“I have everything I need at home,” Gia said of her current living situation. “I know people that stay home until they get married. I make my own money; I do my own thing. But I just don’t see the urgency to move out.”
“I get amazing meals cooked by my mom,” she added, noting that she loves being at home with her family and their dog, Bella.
Gia Giudice Revealed the Only Way She Would Move Out of Her Mom’s House
Gia did admit there is one thing that would prompt her to move out—a live-in situation with her longtime boyfriend Christian Carmichael. The two have been dating since at least 2020 when they went Instagram official while Gia was still in college, per BravoTV.com.
“The only reason why I want to move out is to move in with Christian. So when we’re both ready, that’s going to happen,” Gia told her podcast listeners.
Gia noted that her boyfriend loves the current situation too, as he is close to his brothers who live at home. “We have very similar home dynamics where it’s fun being around your siblings and your family,” she explained.
“As much as I’m living at home, I also do my own thing all the time,” Gia added.
Teresa Giudice Approves of Gia Moving in With Her Boyfriend
When the time comes for Gia to move out, she will have the support of her famous mom. During an appearance on the “Turning the Tables With Teresa Giudice” podcast in November 2024, Gia teased, “Eventually, within the next year or so, I do think I want to move out, just because I just want to experience that time with Christian, I think, just to see how we live together. But, I do really want to move in with him, eventually.”
Teresa first suggested that her daughter should live on her own first, but Gia said she would be “terrified” to have a place all by herself.
“I think you should live on your own first,” Teresa said again.
After Gia noted that her beau would “be over every night anyway” if she lived on her own, Teresa said, “I give you my blessing if you want to move in with Christian.”
