Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice turned the tables on WGNTV Chicago‘s morning news show when she called their (iconic) host Larry Potash “disrespectful.”

“I want to give the publicity to Turning the Tables. Not like Chicago, whatever channel I was on.”Teresa acknowledged the news station wanted to “get a rise out of me” when they asked about her massive tax debts.

The mother of four dorters was “surprised it blew up” the way it did. Her co-host noted, “PEOPLE was writing about it. Page Six was writing about it.” Tre noted, “Everything that about me always blows up.”

Teresa’s morning news appearance:

“Of course, anytime I go on any TV show, whoever puts whoever gets me on the TV show tells them, you know, don’t talk about this. Don’t talk about that. Don’t talk about this; Don’t talk about that. And of course, they agree to it. They agreed to it.”

“But, this person decided not to obey by the rules, you know. So, this is what I have to say to that. Because I wrote down my thoughts.”

“And of course, you know, and it’s good to, you know, also I’ve gotten legal advice because, you know, it’s like I know he was trying to get a rise out of me. And I was not going to give that to him. That’s why I chose to end the call. And I hung up the phone. I wasn’t like, ‘oh my god,’ like frazzled or anything. Because I already knew what he was trying to do.”

“I was just like, I’m not giving him this. So at this point in my life, if I feel like, if I’m not happy with something, I’m just gonna like walk away. I’d rather do that than give somebody, that might give them the time of day. Because I’d rather just walk away because then I feel better about it.”

Teresa’s take:

“I was reading like some of the comments and stuff because it was posted everywhere. I’m glad people had my back. And they were saying they saw exactly what he did. It was, he was so unprofessional.”

“I guess he wanted to try to get a rise out of Teresa Giudice, and it didn’t happen. So, this is what I have to say to him, all right. The interviewer wasn’t respectful, the tone, the way things were asked, he crossed the line. So yes, I chose to end the call. That’s basically what I did.”

“And I feel as a reporter or an interviewer or a news anchor, regardless of the topic you’re covering, it’s local news. So why would you not want to provide a platform that anyone would want to come and feel safe to have a discussion? He’s also not here to do his job, which is to give me a safe space to have a conversation because this is his show.”

“And that’s the thing, it’s local news, like to promote things, because we’re gonna be in Chicago. So there’s a show to let everyone know in Chicago that we’re gonna be there. If they would love to come and see me, I would love to see them.”

“That’s what it’s all about, like promoting, because we’re gonna be in Chicago. And then he totally tried to derail it and was so disrespectful. And I was just like, I’m not doing this.”
