Teresa Giudice issued a response to Dolores Catania‘s recent comment that she is “a little mad” that her “Real Housewives of New Jersey” co-stars couldn’t come together for the sake of the show.
On the December 31 episode of the “Turning the Tables” podcast with guests Roxanne Bahri and Shantel Butras, the Bravo star admitted that she “did see” Catania’s interview in which she criticized the RHONJ cast for not being able to work together. Giudice also claimed that she did not believe Catania was talking about her when she made her comments.
The 15th season of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is on “pause” amid the cast infighting. There has been talk of a complete reboot with an all-new cast following the volatile 14th season. Bravo producer Andy Cohen told Us Weekly it could be 2026 before an official announcement was made about the show.
In addition to Giudice and Catania, the 14th season of RHONJ starred Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda, and “friends” Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler.
Teresa Giudice Insisted That Dolores Catania Was Not Referring to Her
On her podcast, Giudice was asked about Catania’s comments about the cast. The mom of four noted that everyone on the cast has made a living from talking about her husband, Luis Ruelas, on camera.
“The last four years, everyone’s been making a paycheck talking about my husband, which I think was so wrong,” Giudice said. “So everyone got paid the last 4 years talking about my husband. And I remember when Dolores was questioned about her relationship, she didn’t like that so much. So, imagine – you always have to put yourself in the other person’s shoes.”
“So, I know she’s not talking about me,” Giudice added of Catania. “I know she’s definitely not talking about me because I know what happened to me. If it was done to her, she would not like that at all. And I’m sure [her boyfriend] Paulie [Connell] wouldn’t like that. Not too many people would even last after what happened [to me]. So, I know she’s definitely not talking about me.”
“You’re welcome,” Giudice added in a message to her castmates, noting that they all “got paid” to talk about Ruelas.
Dolores Catania Expressed Disappointment in Her Co-Stars
Catania appeared frustrated while speaking with People magazine in December 2024. “We didn’t film last season, so we’re not coming back… we’re not going to be airing in January or February,” she told the outlet. “Of course, I’d look forward to seeing my cast come back on the screen or even come back to film, but they made a mess. I’m a little mad that everybody couldn’t get it together. I really am.”
Catania, who is known as the “Switzerland” of the cast, claimed she tried to encourage her co-stars to get along while speaking to them off-camera. “It’s time to put egos aside,” she added of her cast mates. “We had great ratings. We did well—we just have to learn how to act.”
Catania previously spoke out on Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast and admitted she feared a cast shakeup was in the works. She also revealed that she spoke with each of her RHONJ co-stars individually to warn them about their behavior. “I told everyone a year ago, ‘Pull in your horns, chill out. All separately off camera, just sit back, stop,’” she said. “Whatever is going on, it’s gonna get the network to a breaking point with us. Just stop.”
